Building Contest- A Better Mouse Trap

Build a Better Mouse Trap The contest is to build a better mouse trap from standard Lego elements. Better means more reliable than spring traps and more humane than glue traps. Live trapping is preferred- I don’t hate these mice, I just want them (...) (20 years ago, 2-Apr-06, to lugnet.build.contests, FTX)

Re: One good message (kind of) from LEGO at last... (April Fool's Day)

(...) Hi Rosco, Todd must have implemented a tool which deletes all "0." in messages coming from me on April Fools Day. Of course I meant to have typed "0.66". But nevertheless: you got me. And I admit this wasn't my best April Fools Joke. It is (...) (20 years ago, 2-Apr-06, to lugnet.trains)

  Re: Lugnet: WAKE UP!

  Re: Oscar the serpent

(...) Hi Joseph! I'm glad you like it (and the plant). It's not really that mysterious all of the coral bits are hollow (a technic axle can pass trough them).   Re: Oscar the serpent

(...) Hi Linus =) This is a neat creature for sure. Not totally sure how you got it to bend at the segments like that, and that's a good thing if it's mysterious hehe.   Re: 9v Train status report.

(...) You are correct, Brad was a train fan. (...) Same here. They seem to have missed several of their dates and, without the Jake conduit of information, as far as I know we don't have any updated information. Steve, who really misses Jake (20 years ago, 2-Apr-06, to lugnet.trains, FTX)

  Re: 9v Train status report.

(...) I tend to agree. I get a lot of the "I didn't know Lego made trains" at train shows and give them the standard spiel, "Yes, long time, mostly mail order, etc." We've done shows with a train set or two available for sale (MSRP) and IIRC have (...) (20 years ago, 2-Apr-06, to lugnet.trains)

  Re: 9v Train status report.

(...) Interesting that "plugging in" is veiwed as a negative. Most of the people I know (myself included) would never buy a battery powered anything if a plug in version was available. That is the reason I never bought a Mindstorms kit. When I had (...) (20 years ago, 2-Apr-06, to lugnet.trains)

(...) Hi Didier, I see so much potential in this technique. Seems a great way to do multiple angle adjustments in a small space. I'm sure I'll be using it at some point. Thanks for posting it. Tim (20 years ago, 1-Apr-06, to lugnet.build.schleim, lugnet.castle, FTX)
