More Mocs for the HS... (was Where do we go from here)

(...) Dave and Alan et al, I know, I know, I already told you I would be "playing",... but could you please also reserve some room for my bud Tilt, who will be bringing some sort of ride (shocking eh?), maybe the return of Bob, or maybe a new one (...)   Re: LEGO Dreams

(...) I have a dream one day of opening a Lego Catalog and going to the "Adult" section, where I can buy 1,500 - 3,000 pc town models made of non-juniorized bricks. Banks, Gas Stations, Apartment Buildings, Skyscrapers, Firestations-- sort of the (...) (21 years ago, 31-Aug-05, to lugnet.general, FTX)

  NWBrickCon™ 2005 Castle

(URL) NWBrickCon> is coming up fast, and the Castle layout will be great this year. If you’re planning on attending please e-mail me. Let me know what you’re planning on bringing so we can get a general idea of how much area we’re going to need. If (...)   Surface-only convertion to POV-Ray

What tool would convert just the surface information from ldr to pov or lws? Would 3DWin do it? (21 years ago, 31-Aug-05, to lugnet.cad)

Re: Idea for better LEGO Factory building

(...) Ah, no, I'm sorry — I didn't test that part. I tested that you can load such a custom .tix file into LDD, add it to your active list just like one of the built-in part sets, and make use of it to build a model. I didn't test that LF will (...) (21 years ago, 31-Aug-05, to lugnet.cad, FTX)

Re: Am I the only person who finds Lego CAD systems infuriating?

(...) snip (...) I would never disagree with my esteemed rtl associate, but if I can do it, anyone can do it-- (URL) This was a simple one. My truck, as seen on this page (if you scroll down just a tad) was way more involved, yet still quite easy to (...) (21 years ago, 31-Aug-05, to lugnet.org.ca.rtltoronto, FTX)

Re: Am I the only person who finds Lego CAD systems infuriating?

(...) I think that by usability you actually mean learnability which is somewhat different. I agree that most of the Ldraw CAD tools are not that easy to learn. They do not have dedicated teams to make them so. I think that, at heart, CAD is a (...) (21 years ago, 31-Aug-05, to lugnet.org.ca.rtltoronto)

Re: Reduced versions of BBB wheels

(...) Thanks Tim, yes I believe the originals are from a modelling tool. And I'll be first to admit, mine are not as accurate as the originals, I sacrificed accuracy for size. But they use a lot of primitives, which most LDraw renderers are able to (...) (21 years ago, 31-Aug-05, to lugnet.cad.dat.parts, FTX)

Re: Idea for better LEGO Factory building

(...) Joe, what did you test? Did you use this small file to try to upload a design to the gallery for others to buy? My concern is that might not work, I couldn't tell what you meant, but if you tested it, coolness! (21 years ago, 31-Aug-05, to lugnet.cad, FTX)

  Re: GUPPIE

(...) I love the little craft- that's a beautiful use of that nasty part! In fact, it's used better here than for its original purpose. (2 URLs) Tony Hafner (URL) www.hafhead.com> (21 years ago, 31-Aug-05, to lugnet.space, FTX)
