Re: My humble opinion about LDraw animation

Doing something so simplistic would never be able to hold my interest, and I suspect it would not interest anyone else who intended to do anything complex. (...)   Re: New Mocs: Classic Spac

Nick, True, I'm not sure this could land except on a giant sized moonbase module. My vision is to create a giant size classic space landing plate+crater plate similar to the configuration for the Galaxy Explorer. That said made quite an impression (...) (20 years ago, 27-Aug-05, to lugnet.space)

How do I get these new applications working?

It is good to see new LDRAW applications (Bricksmith 1.0, LDGLite 1.1.18) coming out for the Mac. However, I can't seem to get either of them to display some of the .dat files I've collected from various sources. I have viewed them using MLCad on a (...) Sounds very cool. I just went and signed up. My only page online is on C-S, and I stole the page design. :D It'll be nice to watch and read and see what others say on such topics. Definitely a good idea! -Stefan- (20 years ago, 27-Aug-05, to lugnet.publish)

  Ahhhh Friction, my old friend

Iain, I have now built the better part of the "balance of power" game board. I was very worried about how I was going to make the board level. turns out, after a few test screws, I found the center of the 2x4. A few "extra" twists of the nut, and (...)   Re: Crazy idea for third-party Factory-like service

How about just writing some code for bricklink and selling it to them which takes an mlcad model and scans Bricklink for the best deal for those pieces or all pieces from one vendor etc. Kind (...)   LF Yard Tower

Took a crack at this, converted my yard tower design (as found in the Virtual LEGO book) as closely as I could (within reason, I switched to medium slope roof bricks since low slopes in a well rounded assortment in any earth tone are rare in that (...)   Timber trestle crossing water

Prototype question: When a timber trestle bridge crosses water, is it usual to have the timber bents permanently submerged? Or is it usual to have stone or concrete piers supporting the trestle bents? I've tried google, but can't find a clear (...) (20 years ago, 27-Aug-05, to lugnet.trains, FTX)
