  Re: Hope Education

In article <FG5tFp.E9y@lugnet.com>, Col <NumberSix@REMOVEfre...froot.free serve.co.uk> writes (...) I remember asking about the shuttle set back in February. They said they didn't have any. I don't think they update their site very often. (25 years ago, 8-Aug-99, to lugnet.loc.uk)

Re: power steering for new supercar 8448

(...) Agreed. I have motorized a number of technic sets per the instructions and always use a Micromotor for steering. Just the right speed (...) One big thing to watch out for is if you stall the micromotor, it sometimes gets stuck, even if you (...) (25 years ago, 8-Aug-99, to lugnet.build)

  Re: Fluid inside Pneumatics

I bet he meant to say he wants a (relatively) incompressible fluid as his working fluid. (...) (25 years ago, 8-Aug-99, to lugnet.build)

  Re: Space Original Creations Etc.

(...) here's my understanding of the procss Anyone can nominate any site they wish. You can nominate your own. Todd monitors the mail each week and makes a judgement call about which nomination suggestions actually become nominations (that is, get (...) (25 years ago, 8-Aug-99, to lugnet.build)

  Re: 1999 Technic

I am thinking about getting that Supercar, and I am not even a Technic "head". :) Based on the discussions regarding bulk orders and TLG's internal processes, getting different groups to talk to each other sounds almost impossible. Scott Sanburn (...) (25 years ago, 8-Aug-99, to lugnet.build)

Re: Using the Motor as a Tachometer

(...) Dave, this use of a motor as an input is fascinating! (How safe is it? Looking at some older threads, there seems to be a difference of opinions, or at least a non-consensus that it's safe...) I just hooked an 1x2 LEGO incandescent lamp up to (...) (25 years ago, 8-Aug-99, to lugnet.robotics)

Re: TM's Early 90s Town Auction (Update 2)

(...) I'd have to agree. While I did not look closely at each item, there are some great deals here right now in Thomas's auction. For example, the Medstar, now unbid at 20 in this auction, just went for 31.50 to me in the now winding down AucZILLA (...) (25 years ago, 8-Aug-99, to lugnet.market.auction)

  1999 Technic

Has anyone else noticed that the 1999 Technic line is extrordinaraly good? Just about every set has a good design and lots of useful new pieces. Not since the space shuttle in 1996 has there been a technic set I actually wanted to own, now they're (...) (25 years ago, 8-Aug-99, to lugnet.build)
