  Re: New LEGO RoboCam'Bot

(...) Well that's my duh! After spending a few weeks trying to secure Apache, I entirely forgot that I took all permissions away except read-only on almost every directory on my website. So I added write permissions, and basically ran smooth as (...) (20 years ago, 24-Aug-05, to lugnet.org.ca.rtltoronto)

  Re: LDD Help Needed

(...) Not that I know of. You can rotate the whole model and then use PgUp/PgDn to jiggle the piece you need to move - then rotate the whole thing back. Obviously, this is a pain when working with a model of any real size. (...) I'm not sure quite (...) (20 years ago, 24-Aug-05, to lugnet.cad, FTX)

  Re: New LEGO RoboCam'Bot

(...) Stupid typos :) (...) Does the webserver use have permissions to write to the targetted directory? Absolut path is the right way to go. Anything in the error log? (...) My god, why did you even bother replying?!? Git! (20 years ago, 24-Aug-05, to lugnet.org.ca.rtltoronto)

  Re: New LEGO RoboCam'Bot

(...) Thanks Dan! That was very quick! I've implemented and changed approriate settings (fixed type-o as well) THe script does something--it runs and will redirect the user to the appropriate page, but it does not copy the file to the specified (...)   LDD Help Needed

I just started playing around with Lego Digital Designer a couple of days ago and had a few questions. I am having trouble placing a part in my model. I have found how to use the PgUp/PgDn keys to move a piece along the z-axis, but is there a way to (...) (20 years ago, 24-Aug-05, to lugnet.cad)

(...) This was a few days ago when he announced it...it wasn't a happy face. And I only got to the first two strokes of H... So it was more like: | |-- | And then some bastard started drawing away. :) I will try and make a web cam some day. It won't (...) (20 years ago, 24-Aug-05, to lugnet.org.ca.rtltoronto)

  Re: New LEGO RoboCam'Bot

(...) Here ya go - plop this in your cgi-bin, and update the 3 configuration lines, and you're all set. To take a snapshot, just link to the CGI. Ideally, it'll work - but I haven't actually tested it. :) Dan -- #!/usr/bin/perl -wT # *** STANDARD (...) (20 years ago, 24-Aug-05, to lugnet.org.ca.rtltoronto)

  gears

Does anyone know if the newer double bevel gears are stronger than the older lego technic gears? By stronger I mean won't break under pressure like the older ones. (20 years ago, 24-Aug-05, to lugnet.technic)

  Re: steering

(...) This I sort of figured out when I was trying to test the steering. Maybe when I strip it down, I 'll revamp the steering (but the thing is I want all the steering axles to steer). (20 years ago, 24-Aug-05, to lugnet.technic)

(...) I saw the Hi.. then the rest of the squiggles--right now it says Hi *squiggle* MIELEC -- no idea what that's suppose to be... That's always been the problem with my web'bots--the non-excusive use to the user. I looked into locking it down for (...) (20 years ago, 24-Aug-05, to lugnet.org.ca.rtltoronto)

  Re: New LEGO RoboCam'Bot

(...) It's a great idea, but then there'd have to be some sort of button for 'take pic' on the page. If I knew more about, well, anything, I would set up a web applet for the webcam software to save a picture when a button on the page is pushed. But (...)
