  Re: All plastic track

(...) I'd like to add a few of my own detail questions. A) How many channels will there be? There obviously needs to be at least as many as there are simultaneous running loco's on tracks else locos on sidings will keep waking up (since the switches (...)   Re: Micro continues to impress, plus thanks, Janey!

(...) Nonsense! For a long time Micro was that thing that everyone should do, but no one really did. I started building Micro because Janey cajoled me into it last year, and then I realized how much fun it was! Every year there is a coordinator who (...)   Re: Where do we go from here...

(...) Hello deborah-with-out-capitals! (...) Well, I was very impressed by deborah's models--they were very neat. I even took the effort to go after the opening ceremonies to see hers and Janey's work in the display rooms set up by the display (...)   Re: Micro continues to impress, plus thanks, Janey!

(...) Thanks Ashley, but the real credit goes to all the amazing builders that are adopting and adapting Micro to levels that are ever expanding and increasing in detail and design. I was blown away with the quality of the work presented this year. (...) (20 years ago, 17-Aug-05, to lugnet.build.microscale)

  Re: All plastic track

(...) I have some questions, too. I'm not a huge train person -- I own only two train sets -- but I'm aware of the 9V system's limitations. Would a 9V train have enough momentum to pass over a single section of plastic track? I'm thinking that the (...) (20 years ago, 17-Aug-05, to lugnet.trains, FTX)

Re: Brickfest Pneumatic Master and competitions

(...) Many people shy away from "competition". I'm pretty sure Kevin is always trying to make the best creations he can. Not because he wants to be better than you or me, but he just loves making cool stuff. Actually, Kevin's not a good competitor. (...)   Steve Wynn's creative use of "Lego toy" in a simile

(URL) new creation was received by some travel writers and architectural critics not with the awe they greeted his Mirage in 1989 and Bellagio in 1998 but with questions about why it cost a record-breaking $2.7 billion and with mocking of Wynn's (...)   Re: Where do we go from here...

(...) hmm. Very interesting. Does that mean Janey, who contributed to one of the Great Ball Contraption modules had more in the Technic/Mindstorms/GBC area than all the robot-heads & robot-freaks of rtl combined? I'm totally not going there. (20 years ago, 17-Aug-05, to lugnet.org.ca.rtltoronto, lugnet.loc.ca.on)

Re: Where do we go from here...

(...) Yes, and while I enjoyed his help a lot, my favourite part was the big hug he gave me before he went home. What a cutie! It was a pleasure meeting you as well. (...) Thanks, the cable cars were fun, I hope to expand that layout (it was very (...) (20 years ago, 17-Aug-05, to lugnet.org.ca.rtltoronto, lugnet.loc.ca.on)

Re: Brickfest Pneumatic Master and new Pneumatic Gate Circuits

(...) I mean "competition" in jest, since we are a community learning from each other. I do feel a bit tucked away out of sight in the UK. It seems that only the US is currently big enough to attract enough attention from TLG. I'm also trying to (...) (20 years ago, 17-Aug-05, to lugnet.technic, lugnet.events.brickfest)

Re: Where do we go from here...

(...) And keep in mind while counting that Janey had, at least for a little bit, a small piece of the GBC designed by her as well (with the help of my son). (...)   Re: PT 109

(...) That's great! I love the detailing and I particularly like the white lettering at the bow. Some people don't care for the pixellated hull profile, but I don't mind it so much because it preserves the LEGO-ness of the ship. Very nice job! Dave!
