Re: EMD F7 Mt. Newman Mining Company

Hi ROSCO (...) Thanks! (...) Well, the idea with the windows is what I am most proud of on my model. I had that idea about a year ago but haven't used it in a model since then. (...) I agree, you're right about problems when attaching the couplings (...) (21 years ago, 15-Aug-05, to lugnet.trains, lugnet.loc.au, FTX)

Re: Where do we go from here...

Does this 'Hobby Show' have a website? Thanks. (21 years ago, 15-Aug-05, to lugnet.org.ca.rtltoronto, lugnet.loc.ca.on)

The first of the BrickFest vignette pics are coming in...

Check it out: Lost In Space and The Brady Bunch: (URL) A whole lot of vigs. I think I can identify at least two as Shakespeare vigs: Romeo and Juliet in the upper left rear, and #8 is a scene from A Midsummer's Night Dream. I have a feeling the (...)   Re: Fire Station

The eating pizza in turnout gear bit is interestingly accurate - it is against the rules in many fire departments, because it dirties building floors, but its a rule that people can break freely. It really depends on the type of gear the FD uses - (...) (21 years ago, 15-Aug-05, to lugnet.town)

  What age gap?

I've heard much talk lately about trying to bridge the gap between preschoolers (Duplo) and older kids (9V trains) -- for example, the new "play train" line announced this weekend. I don't see this gap, though. My son is turning 5 soon, and he loves (...) (21 years ago, 15-Aug-05, to lugnet.trains, FTX)

A Hitchhhiker's Guide to the Galaxy vig?

Good idea! -THWAP- (URL) Zaphod, Arthur, and Ford arrive on Vogsphere to rescue Trillian. The flatlands, though, hide a mysterious obstacle to their plans... I thought *THWAP* this was one of the funnier moments in the recent movie. Not sure if it (...) (21 years ago, 15-Aug-05, to lugnet.build.vignette, FTX)

  Great show!

Congratulations and thanks to everyone on the BrickFest team. I didn't get to stay as long (or arrive as early) as I would have liked, but I enjoyed every minute I was there. One small suggestion for next year: I think BrickFest has outgrown its (...) (21 years ago, 15-Aug-05, to lugnet.events.brickfest, FTX)

  Re: Moby Dick vignette

(...) Hahaha, that's absolutely perfect. I love it! Great water effects, too! Ry (21 years ago, 15-Aug-05, to lugnet.build.vignette, FTX)

Re: Joe Vig: Enter the Matrix

(...) Thanks, Rob! :) (...) Thanks, Nathan. I considered making it just Trinity and the Agent, but my friend and I thought it was funny for Joe to be in there. Maybe I'll try another Matrix scene without Joe in it. Ry (21 years ago, 15-Aug-05, to lugnet.build.vignette, FTX)

  THANK YOU

I would like to personally thank Christina and Larry as well as the rest of the BrickFest crew for another fantastic event. I truly had a great time and I look forward to next year’s where ever it may be. I would also like to thank Kevin Salm for (...)
