Re: Wanted: book on LEGO town building

(...) No!!! Don't say that. I really, really don't have time for any more projects, so telling me how much fun it was isn't helping me at all. Please tell me that it was gruelling, thankless, back-breaking labor that made you regret you'd ever (...) (21 years ago, 5-Aug-05, to lugnet.publish, FTX)

LEGO STAR WARS Videogame modding / skinning

Just a heads up for those of you who would like to get a bit more gameplay out of LEGO Star Wars (PC version only) There are 4 or 5 game modders (myself included) showcasing what we've managed in this fbtb.net thread (URL) There are many more (...)   Re: Wanted: book on LEGO town building

(...) You know, it was surprisingly easy to do my book. TONS of work, certainly. But very fun work, and it's been great to have accomplished it. Interestingly, it wasn't "hard" work, in sense that only a select few people in the world could do it. (...) (21 years ago, 5-Aug-05, to lugnet.publish, FTX)

Re: Want to help LEGOFan.org while you're at BrickFest?

(...) If these are intended to be silent auction lots, may I suggest breaking some of them up a bit? I know Todd always thought that odd lot sizes drove up prices but if you can get several builders happy, that's goodness. IMHO anyway. (Lar would (...)   Re: [ANN] New inventory tool

(...) Hello Dan and Jennifer, (...) Well, not really surprising, Peeroml ressembles nothing you have seen in the AFOL world. Peeroml is the same as Peeron inventories but using a computer notation rather than a human-friendly notation. The benefits (...) (21 years ago, 5-Aug-05, to lugnet.cad, lugnet.inv)

  spare gold bricks

I had planned to build something for the Trust, but I am way too busy to finish it and lack odd pieces. (I started way too late!). Is there anyone here who can use my gold bricks? I'd be happy to mail them out free. -Suz (21 years ago, 5-Aug-05, to lugnet.events.brickfest)

  Peach down

Hey folks, A power supply failed last night and both Peach hard disks were destroyed in a fiery explosion of fantastic proportions. Okay, I'm elaborating a bit. But either way, Peach is down and we're getting a new second hand Ultra30 in it's place, (...) (21 years ago, 5-Aug-05, to lugnet.org.ca.rtltoronto)

  Re: OT: Math Help

(...) Oops, there was a mistake in my first equation above that I've corrected here, in order to give a negative number. (...) That's why I have " > 180", not "> or equal to 180" ;) Since the question was framed in relation to 0, that's what my (...) (21 years ago, 5-Aug-05, to lugnet.org.ca.rtltoronto)

  Re: OT: Math Help

(...) I noticed that, also. I think it says "changes must be less than 180". However, I'm not sure it matters which direction you went. For example, if you get readings of 10 deg and 20 deg, but in the time between the direction was never 15 (...) (21 years ago, 5-Aug-05, to lugnet.org.ca.rtltoronto)

  Re: OT: Math Help

(...) One of the things I did pickup from "my" answer is you need to have a sample frequency small enough that you are not going to get wind direction changes of 180 degrees or more. And I say or more, because it's important to the average which (...) (21 years ago, 5-Aug-05, to lugnet.org.ca.rtltoronto)

  Re: OT: Math Help

(...) And if you stop and think about it for a second or two, you'll realize your special case really does deserve special consideration. The average is no wind at all, so the direction would be undefined. (21 years ago, 5-Aug-05, to lugnet.org.ca.rtltoronto)

  Re: OT: Math Help

(...) Don't you get the same problem at 180, now? 170 + 190 = 170 +(-170) = 0 I think there are several readings that can give you more than one result. For example, if you take two readings of 90 and 270, what should the answer be? 0? 180? never (...) (21 years ago, 5-Aug-05, to lugnet.org.ca.rtltoronto)

Re: Duplo Castle / Dragon sets parted out

Re: Wanted: book on LEGO town building

--SNIP-- (...) I agree about nice, shiny books. Of course, if we could get enough information and a liberal enough publisher, we could print the shiny book eventually ;-). Tim (21 years ago, 5-Aug-05, to lugnet.publish, FTX)
