Re: SCLTC Raises the Flag at OCF

(...) Darrell- Thanks for the comments. I actually haven't been back since completion (after being there every day since opening the week before), though the rest of the family and all the other Irvine members of the club have been back.   Re: Attention please: Swan Problem demi-solved!

Here's the problem! I don't have fast0103.lgo, on swan's site there's only version 1.01. I think using that firmware (where can we find it?) and new NQC API all my problems are solved. About driving servo: to generate PWM for servo motors a (...) (21 years ago, 21-Jul-05, to lugnet.robotics.rcx.nqc)

  Re: Hobby Show November

(...) I totally agree. I would love to see this event continue to draw people from this area. "This area" being Ontario I guess, or even beyond. So that's a pretty big 'area'. :) The intent (even the first year) was for this to be a very informal (...) (21 years ago, 21-Jul-05, to lugnet.org.ca.rtltoronto, lugnet.loc.ca.on)

  Re: Swan firmware crash!

(...) This is the old-style Swan API which is deprecated. The Swan API built into NQC uses MotorPower128(n) and SetMotorPower128(n, m). With the latest version of NQC you no longer need to include the old swan.nqh header file. The old swan.nqh file (...) (21 years ago, 21-Jul-05, to lugnet.robotics.rcx.nqc)

Re: Attention please: Swan Problem demi-solved!

(...) Quite possibly you have an old version of the Swan firmware. My copy is called fast0103.lgo dated 2005-01-13. Dick sent me an updated version back then when I was working on the NQC API for his firmware. I don't know if it is available (...) (21 years ago, 21-Jul-05, to lugnet.robotics.rcx.nqc)

  Re: Felucia Scout Patrol

All those flowers look really nice on the scenery. However, the grey ground provides some unnatural look. Have you considered using brown baseplates? Or, as they are hard to find, some sort of green ones? Regards, Chris (21 years ago, 21-Jul-05, to lugnet.starwars, lugnet.castle, lugnet.town, FTX)

Re: Why not smaller & more affordable for all? was Re: LEGO Factory sets

(...) I agree with you Jeff, These parts are VERY small, paying 5 cents per part for parts that are only a fraction of the size of 2x4 bricks seems rather pricey. And then grouping the designs together.... As a town person, I am disappointed that (...) (21 years ago, 21-Jul-05, to lugnet.build.microscale, lugnet.dear-lego, FTX)

  Felucia Scout Patrol

Felucia was a world teeming with fungal life-forms and immense primitive plants. Beneath the hazy canopies of the enormous pitcher plants and leafy growths is a surreal color-drenched landscape where an infantry unit of Republic scouts are on (...)   Re: Why not smaller & more affordable for all?

(...) Having a manufacturing background, and having worked a little ops management.. the more SKU's you have, the more associated costs you're going to have (for example--just boxes alone: -more boxes to design and print--adds money to product, (...)   Re: Why not smaller & more affordable for all?

(...) It's not a matter of simply adding more numbers to the system. As was pointed out elsewhere, each new product brings added complexity to the system, as well as additional development costs. Designing and printing one box, for example, is (...) (21 years ago, 21-Jul-05, to lugnet.build.microscale, lugnet.dear-lego, FTX)

Re: Why not smaller & more affordable for all? was Re: LEGO Factory sets

(...) Interesting idea, but I'm not sure that I would agree with you. --off-topic personal viewpoint-- This is a similiar line of thinking to the way that the record industry believed (still believes?) that digital music and filesharing was going to (...)   Re: Why not smaller & more affordable for all?

(...) I think ones that used fixed burden accounting, yes, but many companies have switched to variable burden, or even Activity Based Costing. I believe the cost that LEGO fears lies elsewhere.   Re: Need some help with Mlcad and Pov

(...) On a related Note, I should shortly be releasing an app that works with L3P and povray with a number of enhancements over L3PAO including being able to select which sub model to render. (21 years ago, 21-Jul-05, to lugnet.cad)

Re: SCLTC Raises the Flag at OCF

Really nice work, Ted! I went to see it the other night, and was happy to see a line of people waiting to get a photo in front of it.. Couple more questions: Could you post the instructions you gave fairgoers who wanted to help? I'm curious how (...) (21 years ago, 21-Jul-05, to lugnet.trains.org.scltc, FTX)

  Re: LEGO Factory sets

(...) Nice catch, John. You figured out what I saw pretty quickly too. Possibly, LEGO will be able to track the submission of an individual copyrighted model design like Nathan's SoL, but you never know. The cat's out of the bag, so we'll have to (...)   Brickshelf Status

Well after reading several post from this thread ((URL)) I finally gave up and figured it easier to just re-ask the question in the hopes of getting a "final answer" for a $1 million dollars. LOL!!   Re: Need some help with Mlcad and Pov

(...) Chris, I've never used L3PAO, so I cannot say. In MLCad I'd try creating a new model in your current MPD that uses Model 1, and Model 2. I'd use MLCad's MPD ordering menu to make sure your top level model (your new model) is the first in the (...) (21 years ago, 21-Jul-05, to lugnet.cad)
