Re: Bulk Ordering - Secrets Revealed.

UK TRU Overpriced (was: Train prices)

TRU appears to charge full TLG UK prices. Allegedly (according to Toy Stack), TLG has various price structures: Hamleys (which supposedly owns Toy Stack) is instructed to charge the highest prices, while (I guess that) TRU are up there too. I assume (...) (25 years ago, 6-Aug-99, to lugnet.loc.uk, lugnet.trains)

Arjan, No two people have the same collection. Size may be important in other areas, but not in this newsgroup. I don't want this to get into an exercise of who has the biggest collection, and who doesn't. We already know it's Conan (2.3 million), (...) (25 years ago, 6-Aug-99, to lugnet.general)

(...) To pointlessly extend this discussion even further, here is what I get when I look up hydraulic: 15% webster hydraulic hy-drau-lic \h?^--'dro?-lik\ adj [L hydraulicus, fr.   mapping and localization for autonomous mobile robots

In case anyone's interested, I have found a really good web site that illustrates the state of the art in making a robot that moves around and generates a map of its environment, and then uses it to determine its position later: (URL) Robert Munafo (...)   Not that you care...

If anyone isn't unsure, I concede that I goofed with respect to the word "fluid". I still stand staunchly by the distinction between "hydraulic" and "pneumatic". Apologies and all that to whom they are appropriate. ---...--- A small introduction: (...) (25 years ago, 6-Aug-99, to lugnet.robotics)
