Re: Joe Vig Contest Entry - Jedi Temple

(...) While looking at the vignettes, I noticed that the Jedi Temple vignette extended by a lot more than 4 studs in width. 3 on each side makes 6, not 4. Was 4 studs a limit for the total or for each side? Here's the rule: 3. Your vignette must (...) (21 years ago, 17-Jul-05, to lugnet.build.vignette)

  Re: LEGO Factory sets

(...) In the latest LEGO Magazine, there's a full-page ad for a contest about something, and they've been using images of this creation as a sample. I've seen this Town Hall used by LEGO in several places, I also hope they produce it at some point. (21 years ago, 17-Jul-05, to lugnet.build.microscale, FTX)

(...) Apparently, it was a weekly winner, but (unfortunately) not a final winner: (URL) really wanted to get that one, too. Marc Nelson Jr. (URL) Marc's Creations>> (21 years ago, 17-Jul-05, to lugnet.build.microscale, FTX)

Re: Help set a LEGO world record this weekend!

(...) Larry- We initially planned to embed the stars, but a number of reasons converged to make overlaying them the best choice: Since we put a wave in the surface, the union is not flat and embedded stars would have been more complex. We wanted to (...) (21 years ago, 17-Jul-05, to lugnet.trains.org.scltc, FTX)

  Re: MiG I-135

I wont say what I think of this moc. I do suggest you look more into the styling and features of Eastern Block design types. Examples by myself, Chris Giddens, and Lenny Hoffman for example: (URL) Zog 31, by Chris Giddens (URL) Zhukov, Lenny Hoffman (...) (21 years ago, 17-Jul-05, to lugnet.space, FTX)

Re: Help set a LEGO world record this weekend!

(...) That's really cool. I was sort of surprised to see the stars attached rather than embedded in the layers but I guess a lot of early flags (sewn) have stars sewn on... How is the flag going to be supported, it seems like it would put a lot of (...) (21 years ago, 17-Jul-05, to lugnet.trains.org.scltc, FTX)

  MiG I-135

Hello .space! I guess most people around here don't know me since I don't frequent this area of Lugnet. Any way I thought you might be interested in seeing my first Eastern Block (Blok?) themed creation. (URL) Yeah I know it kind of breaks the rules (...) (...) I read it that the 3D instructions would be online. I cant imagine LEGO releasing a set without instructions (if it needed them) ~J~ (21 years ago, 17-Jul-05, to lugnet.build.microscale, FTX)

Re: Joe Vig Contest Entry - Joe and Jonesy

--SNIP-- Hi Tony, You've really captured the 'unfolding' motion of the Alien (or should it be Xenomorph for this film?) brilliantly. Its by far the best minifig scale Alien I've seen. I don't fancy being in Joe's shoes at all. Your, Tim (21 years ago, 17-Jul-05, to lugnet.build.vignette, FTX)
