Re: Ministry of Space is GO!

(...) Jolly good interior engines and battery boxes. Bravo on the cockpit opening mechanism as well. I'm not crazy about the Classic Space helmets, though. Nice concept but you missed a cheap shot- you could have used a Wild West "bad teeth" head on (...) (21 years ago, 9-Jun-05, to lugnet.space, FTX)

  Some Word on Teaching Lego

(...) You aren't the only one to ask :-) Basically, many Universities have Youth Ed programs throughout the year and particularly in summer. Kids like the brick, so those classes are pretty high priority. I lucked into the job because of the Lego (...) (21 years ago, 9-Jun-05, to lugnet.general, lugnet.space)

  LAY OFF THE GLUE!

LEGO, your products have been looking great for 2005. Improved Knight's Kingdom II sets. Viking sets. Designer sets. And now this wonderful chess set*. Don't kill it with glue.   Re: cheeky little new Castle Lego set

(...) There's a huge discussion about this set over at Classic-Castle: (URL) is much worry that the figures are glued. :( -- Nathan Wells (21 years ago, 9-Jun-05, to lugnet.castle)

Re: cheeky little new Castle Lego set

(...) Awesome! It's like some sort of minifig pack with huge amounts of Shadow Knights! And, is that a WHITE baseplate under there? Looks like it in the super-zoom. I don't think they've ever offered a white 32x32! Wish I could see the faces for the (...) (21 years ago, 9-Jun-05, to lugnet.castle)

  Re: Problems with FindWorld() function

(...) Nope. NQC is definitely generating bad code. My apologies. I will fix it right away. John Hansen (21 years ago, 9-Jun-05, to lugnet.robotics.spybotics)

Re: cheeky little new Castle Lego set

(...) If you go to the "zoom" pic you can see that it's 4x4 plates stacked on top of a 32x32 baseplate in either white or light blay. Bruce (21 years ago, 9-Jun-05, to lugnet.castle, FTX)

Re: cheeky little new Castle Lego set

(...) Beautiful! I want one! Some of the piece choices are a little different than I would have done, but hey, it's LEGO -- if I don't like it, I'll just change it. The board is especially cool -- is that a new plate? Or assembled from a pile of 4x4 (...) (21 years ago, 9-Jun-05, to lugnet.castle, FTX)

Re: Real-world interfacing to RCX: LEDs and magnetic sensor

(...) The motor outputs give a square wave of 1/8 up to 8/8 of a cycle. You can use a counter running at 8x the cycle frequency to measure how many eighths the output is giving, and light an LED accordingly. For the magnetic sensor, I suggest (...)   Re: LEGO Stores

(...) Ha, yeah, forgot about Dubai. That's pretty new. I've been trying to figure out how to get down there... you know, for research. Yeah, that's it... yeah yeah. And to the point about size of city - the stores are placed based on the largest (...) (21 years ago, 9-Jun-05, to lugnet.lego)

  Re: Legowiki

So this will be detailed beyond what already exists in the WikiPedia? A full history of our hobby, and the current state of it? Or just information on building techniques and such? What other kind of stuff would you want to include in it? It sounds (...) (21 years ago, 9-Jun-05, to lugnet.general)

  Re: LEGO Stores

Re: Another visitor, stay awhile...stAY FOREVER!!!

(...) That is way cool! I still play that game (and many others) on a free commodore 64 emulator you can download from the web. Nothing beats the classics... Kevin (21 years ago, 9-Jun-05, to lugnet.build.mecha, lugnet.space, FTX)

  Re: MOC: The GuiseBot

I like models that make me imagine how they might be practical in their funky details. This would be a good utility robot for inhospitable environments. The "hat" seems like a protector for the canopy (micrometeorites, solar radiation, or you could (...) (21 years ago, 9-Jun-05, to lugnet.build.mecha, lugnet.space)
