  Re: Jawa Sandcrawler Set #10144

(...) That's exactly the way I interpreted the description as well and the only reason I mentioned it. I specifically remember the phrase 'rides on wheels for smooth motion'. -Dave (21 years ago, 5-Jun-05, to lugnet.starwars, lugnet.year.2005)

Re: Using stickers on LDraw models

(...) Lars should probably update L3P to not apply seams to objects that have any dimension less than or equal to the seam width. I added that feature to LDView at some point for just such a problem. I don't think a metacommand is appropriate when (...) (21 years ago, 5-Jun-05, to lugnet.cad)

  Re: More esoteric Lego history

(...) Ya know, Eric told me about this a while ago. And with Jim mentioning the 4 sons of Ole Kirk Christiansen again. Well it got me to wondering about the family twist to TLG. I mean here we have Ole Kirk, who died in 1958 leaving his 3rd oldest (...) (21 years ago, 5-Jun-05, to lugnet.general)

  Re: Vintage Lego Commercials Online!

(...) Eric, Where do you find the time? What software did you use to pull the images out of the movies? If anyone wants the movies I can email them, or post on my website (for short periods only). But they are large (4 - 21 Mbyte) so be warned. dave (21 years ago, 5-Jun-05, to lugnet.general)

  Using stickers on LDraw models

Hello, I have a question about using stickers on LDraw models and rendering these in PovRay (and other renderers). Stickers are 0.25 LDU thick, with the rear (bottom) at y=0 and the front (top) at y=-0.25. When using a sticker it is lined up with (...) (21 years ago, 5-Jun-05, to lugnet.cad)

Re: 8421 Crane spotted in Toronto suburbs

(...) I agree. Somebody please inform us if they spot this in a USA TRU, I have checked 2 and called 3 more in my area (NC) This is the first current set I have been this excited over since I came out of my dark ages 5 years ago. Thomas (21 years ago, 5-Jun-05, to lugnet.technic)

Re: Ion Cannon Corvette: IL-77 Hawkeye

Thanks for the comments! Just a note: the green on the ship is actually just regular green: the lighting made it look darker, I suppose. I don't even own any dark green pieces ;) Also, yes, I put the pilot's chair on hinges, mainly so that it raises (...) (21 years ago, 5-Jun-05, to lugnet.space, FTX)

Re: TCLTC's version of Mathis Club Trolley

  Re: Rarest Blue Lego Windows/Door

(...) And in case you have never seen how these rare old windows/doors fit into the slotted bricks (1949-57) here are two examples from German collector Karl-Heinz Vogt's brickshelf gallery: (URL) The top one is a 1x3x3 white window of the 1954-57 (...)   Lego vs. Tyco: Legal Battle of the Clones

I just came across this on the interenet. It was a legal battle between TLG and Tyco Industries, which produced (up until about a decade or so age) the best Lego clones ever. (URL) looks like TLG lost, case dismissed. Gary Istok (21 years ago, 5-Jun-05, to lugnet.general)

  Re: House on the Oasis

(...) Very nice, Mellio. Nice clean lines, smooth build. The comparison pix are a nice touch. If I were a minifig, I'd move in right away :-) -Tom McD. (21 years ago, 5-Jun-05, to lugnet.build)

  Re: New MOC: V-Siren

(...) I like it! The guns are cool, along with their storage slots. The green eye goes well with the yellow-black colour scheme as well. The only thing I would like to see is some dark red on the head... As a highlight, like the knees. 2 questions: (...) (21 years ago, 5-Jun-05, to lugnet.build.mecha, FTX)

Re: The Minifig Macro - walk that minifig

Could someone make a list (and post it somewhere...) of all tyhe different walking (or other) animation options available? I can think a few more examples: * MLCad has some support for creating minifig walking animations. * LD4DModeler can model (...) (21 years ago, 5-Jun-05, to lugnet.cad.ray, lugnet.animation)
