Re: Group project: RCX units run emergence simulation

(...) Hi! Cool. Now I'm a cohort ;-) (...) Well, sort of... the robotic forklift I brought to HoB is currently the most complex module (that I *know* about) that requires an RCX, but there are some other options. A ball-sorting mechanism is (...) (21 years ago, 23-May-05, to lugnet.events.brickfest, lugnet.robotics.rcx)

Re: Group project: RCX units run emergence simulation

(...) TOTALLY agree. Not saying it's not relevant to robotics, there is lots of clever mechanical stuff to be learned from GBC... Just saying it's somewhat in a different direction from leaving a bunch of identical RCX based autonomous mobile (...) (21 years ago, 23-May-05, to lugnet.events.brickfest, lugnet.robotics.rcx)

  Re: new Zog chairs

(...) Excellent chairs, as usual. The tap one is clearly the best of this batch. I've always loved having your chairs folder around. While I didn't use any of your actual designs for it, (URL) Melpomene's command chair> was definitely inspired by (...) (21 years ago, 23-May-05, to lugnet.space, FTX)

  Biggest Lego truck ever (technic)

The 17-year-old Hungarian genious has finished his largest model ever. This guy makes everything remote control and fully functional. There are cows smaller than that truck! (URL) (21 years ago, 23-May-05, to lugnet.technic)

Re: Group project: RCX units run emergence simulation

(...) Not having an RCX does not necesarily make it irrelevant to robotics. I consider automatons fairly relevant - and the technique of getting a single motor to do many things is a very valuable one, especially considering the IO limitations of (...)   Re: Volvo FH16 with 3 axle Goldhofer step frame trailer, Scale 1:13

(...) Tubular! That is the best one yet! All those functions? It is like modelteam and technic combined. Very few builders can do that. I never really got into model team because I thought it restricted functionality, but your truck disproves that (...) (21 years ago, 23-May-05, to lugnet.modelteam, lugnet.technic, FTX)

Re: Group project: RCX units run emergence simulation

(...) Right, but haven't you and your cohorts (Hi Brian!) been busily proving that there hasn't yet been a mechanism that NEEDED an RCX? Most of the GBC modules are (brilliantly, elegantly...) purely mechanical except for the train ball return, and (...) (21 years ago, 23-May-05, to lugnet.events.brickfest, lugnet.robotics.rcx)

More will be announced soon, but you can get started by looking here: (URL) (21 years ago, 23-May-05, to lugnet.events.brickfest, lugnet.robotics.rcx)

Re: MOC: Passion Play - Transparent "Recreation" Craft

(...) That is sooo... wrong. So wrong I about snorted my coffee out of my nose. Thanks for the good Monday morning start. -Duane (21 years ago, 23-May-05, to lugnet.space, FTX)

Re: Volvo FH16 with 3 axle Goldhofer step frame trailer, Scale 1:13

(...) This prototype, if I read the info right, has like half that HP... Denmark is not completely flat by any means, either. Lots of gear jamming there I bet. One thing that I didn't comment on before is the rather (to my view) bizarre axle (...) (21 years ago, 23-May-05, to lugnet.modelteam, lugnet.technic, FTX)

(...) Chris, Whoa, this is neat, nearly PG-13 with that skinny top the women is wearing. I wish I had a slew of Paradisa windows. Thanks for the links to the pinup girls, too. George (21 years ago, 23-May-05, to lugnet.space, FTX)

Re: Vienna tram system now hauling freight (ie: Train Ideas!)

(...) That's terrifically cute/bizarre! Thanks for finding this little gem! I think it would be a hilarious model (4 wide containers have a prototype after all!)... (21 years ago, 23-May-05, to lugnet.trains, FTX)

  Jimmy Neutron moc

I asked my sons what they wanted me to make after giving them 30 pounds of lego. Here are the results: (URL) Jimmy's ship was easy. Goddard looks right but is nose heavy. Carl really needs an orange flower for hair. With the wheels on, the (...) (21 years ago, 23-May-05, to lugnet.space)

I'm actually a truck driver and I could see myself driving this gem...Of course the lego version. My truck has only 425HP with a 13 gears tranny (...) Hehe, rich! This is a favorite. It's so simple yet so powerful. You get the story is a second. Sad, but funny. I like it a lot. Terry (21 years ago, 23-May-05, to lugnet.build.vignette, FTX)

Vienna tram system now hauling freight (ie: Train Ideas!)

Here's some photos of the new freight service on Vienna's tram lines. They're aparently named "bims" because of the sound of their warning bell: (6 URLs) Link to original page in German> (21 years ago, 23-May-05, to lugnet.trains, FTX)

Hi all, Is there some way to get this (URL) better? I mean without the triangles. I think this question has already been answered, but I cannot seem to find the right post... Thanks. Jaco. (21 years ago, 23-May-05, to lugnet.cad.ray)

  Space Vignette: Asphyxiate, Too

I spent some time over the weekend working up some new (URL) vignettes>, mainly working on my theme of a "Bricktionary" of one-word-themed entries.
