Re: Spanish galleon of the treasure fleet

(...) Ahoy Nicely done indeed! Big, ornate, and armed to the teeth. The sterncastle is perhaps a bit too square, but the presence of proper galleries is an authentic touch. Cheers Richie Dulin (21 years ago, 17-May-05, to lugnet.pirates, FTX)

Re: 12V to 9V - why the switch

Speaking of switches, does anyone have any ideas or thoughts on why the lego switches/points are the shape they are? I know they changed shape from 4.5v to 9v but why did they pick the shape they did? Given the constraints of what TLC does and given (...) (21 years ago, 17-May-05, to lugnet.trains)

Re: 12V to 9V - why the switch

(...) Sort of, it was rec.toys newslist, I think there were about 50+ LEGO fans on the list at the time. In fact the fans in the SF Bay Area (now BAYLUG) had a privet Email list at the time that spun off the rec.toys list. (...) They big advantage (...) (21 years ago, 17-May-05, to lugnet.trains, FTX)

  ISCC entry by Michael Jasper

Hey all, Check out this great ISCC entry by Michael Jasper. I haven't bothered to Babelfish the text yet, but it's a combination of fig-scale and micro-scale train stuff. (4 URLs) Bruce (21 years ago, 17-May-05, to lugnet.build.microscale, lugnet.trains, FTX)

  Re: Slug Photos

Re: Hexagonal Podule Corridor DAT Instructions (Re: Lambrecht-Lowell Stellar Cartography Podule)

(...) That's not quite how it works - the sphere is made up of a top and bottom, then two pairs of different shaped sides. One shape is square, the other has overlapping ends. All four sides have rectangular openings and corridor attachment points. (...) (21 years ago, 17-May-05, to lugnet.space, FTX)

Re: Train automation - ideas & implementations?

(...) I also have a far more elegant design for a 4 wheeler; (URL) is unloaded simply by turning the wheel one way to open then the other to close. This can be done with a trackside mechanism upon which the wheel rubs. Studless Technic beams are (...) (21 years ago, 17-May-05, to lugnet.trains)

  Re: The all-new LUGNET .Underground

(...) I have. The show is Extreme Engineering, on the Discovery channel, right after the Mythbusters, one of my fav shows. A huge dam is also part of that project, if that's the one you're talkin'about. You can buy episodes of that and other shows (...) (21 years ago, 17-May-05, to lugnet.underground)

Modifying the 6272c01 Electric RC Race Buggy Battery Receiver Unit with Auxiliary Output

Has anyone had any experience with doing this? Basically I want to take the innards of one and put it in as small a 'brick' as possible, add a power input to allow connection of external battery box/es and a connector to allow remote connection of (...)   Re: LPub 2.3.0.6 available (ldGLite working and looks Marvelous)

(...) Possibly. (...) Yeah, I noticed this too, but I haven't been able to capture the exact ldglite command line and temporary .ldr file used by lpub to render a single part for the BOM. Lpub seems to delete them, and I'm not sure if I can keep (...) (21 years ago, 17-May-05, to lugnet.cad)

Re: LPub 2.3.0.6 available (ldGLite working and looks Marvelous)

(...) It's not your eyes. I think this artifact is visible in *every* parts box. Maybe a bug in ldGLite when rendering a single part? The single parts are also clipped on the left side, the leftmost edge line is missing (or at least thinned) (...) (21 years ago, 17-May-05, to lugnet.cad)
