  Gearbox

Does anybody have diagrams, pictures, etc., regarding a "one-way" gearbox? This would have ideally one input and one output shaft, and the output shaft would turn the same direction no matter which direction the input was turned. Like a rectifier (...) (21 years ago, 9-Apr-05, to lugnet.robotics)

  Re: LUGNET Memberships

I don't know if this thread is still active, but it seems as if it is the best place to ask my question. I have created an email account for myself for the main purpose of doing LUGNET at school, but I don't know where to edit the user information (...) (21 years ago, 9-Apr-05, to lugnet.people)

  GPS Reality?

Is the idea of a GPS sensor compatible to the sensor ports an absurd idea? I have a few old Garmin units, with RS232 ports on them. I know of people who have incorporated these units successfully into "real" robots, but that usually involves heavy (...) (21 years ago, 7-Apr-05, to lugnet.robotics)

  Re: New Moc: Super Spartan

Indeed! Impressive use of many decorated tiles, yet none of them overwhelm the overall composition. I really like the way you've got gaps separating modules of the ship. That's a very groovy design aspect I'll have to remember/steal/borrow! The only (...) (21 years ago, 9-Apr-05, to lugnet.space)

  Re: Alpha

Hey Marco, Very nice! I love how you used the 1x2 plate with rods (Classic Space guns to me!) to add detail to the knee joints. Just as impressive is that you managed to make a scout walker that doesn't look like a SW Scout Walker. Well done, and (...) (21 years ago, 9-Apr-05, to lugnet.build.mecha)

  Re: RCX and R/C combined

(...) Here's a diagram of the RCX sensor port circuit: (URL) Feeding a voltage of up to +9V (or the RCX battery voltage) will not harm the port, as this is what it uses in Active mode (light or rotation sensor). You can actually use an external 9V (...) (21 years ago, 8-Apr-05, to lugnet.robotics)

  RCX and R/C combined

I've just been experimenting with my RCX to see if it can sense the output from the Lego RC unit. The experiment was fairly successful, I was just wondering though if putting 9v into a sensor port does it any good. Are their any risks in making such (...)   Re: Modding the new LEGO lightup minifig

Good information to know. I like the way you replaced the arm with one with a posable hand. One thing I don't understand is why you replaced the head switch, did you break it? Tim (21 years ago, 8-Apr-05, to lugnet.starwars, lugnet.space, lugnet.parts.mod, FTX)

Re: The Brick Testament: Judge Deborah

Re: Looking for the Mindstorms software.

(...) No it is not incorrect. You do have to install the USB tower drivers in order for NQC and BricxCC to use the USB tower to talk to the brick. That is not the case for the Serial tower. You can get the tower drivers (along with the firmware) by (...) (21 years ago, 8-Apr-05, to lugnet.robotics)
