Re: Group MOC Study - Pirate Gunboat

(...) Thanks Kenn! At first when building this MOC I was only using white and greys. Later I tryed to throw in some color bits. I tryed mixing some yellow and dark red on the hull, but I didn't like it. The easy way to do it was to separate these (...) (21 years ago, 10-Mar-05, to lugnet.space, FTX)

Re: Group MOC Study - Pirate Gunboat

(...) Thanks Jason! About the bend in the front: I didn't try to fill the gap between the 2 parts because I want it to be able to open. I guess that's why it's not looking as "clean" as it could. For the engines, they are the part of that MOC I (...) (21 years ago, 10-Mar-05, to lugnet.space, FTX)

Re: FLL not allowing NQC; Mindscript is allowed

Why in the world are we being required to learn a second drawn hieroglyphic language much like ancient Egyptian when we have evolved a much simpler use of an alphabet of letters from which to construct words (...) (...) I'll second that, how do the cars move? Here is an image of some of the workings, but how does it move and round the corners?   Re: the top 15 colors

(...) So... if I am interpreting the above numbers correctly... MdStone now has been seen in 37% of the variety of parts that Gray has ever been known to have been produced in (but not neccessarily the same base group tho). Not bad for ~1.3 years (...) (21 years ago, 10-Mar-05, to lugnet.color)

  Re: Kabaya Ghost Stories

(...) Thanks, Bruce! To amswer some of your questions: 1. The original toys are made of both soft and hard plastics. With the exception of the tunnel vignette which came in one piece, they all had to be assembled a bit, but not too much. 2. In the (...) (21 years ago, 10-Mar-05, to lugnet.build.vignette, FTX)

  Re: Lego Electronic Lab Kit

(...) I won't kill you. But I wish to inform that I use clone brands like Byggis, and Tyco, and MegaBloks or already broken LEGO parts for my electric and electronic "hacking". /Tore (21 years ago, 10-Mar-05, to lugnet.general)

Re: A not so deserted island

  Blockland, PC Wargaming

I was a little surprised to stumble on this PC game in a non-LEGO discussion group but not mentioned here on Lugnet. (URL) the system requirements are too high for my PC:s, but I would like to share the link with anyway. /Tore (21 years ago, 10-Mar-05, to lugnet.gaming)

Re: FLL not allowing NQC; Mindscript is allowed

(...) The difference is a really bright line. All of the examples you quote are to do with non-standard things ending up inside the robot. NQC DOESN'T end up inside the robot. Using NQC instead of RIS is no different from using a pocketknife to (...) (21 years ago, 10-Mar-05, to lugnet.robotics)

  Re: What if.....

(...) I suggest 5 for the width (hey, half stud offset!), in case someone is swivelingright up to the edge and is using this inside an 8 or larger wide creation. (21 years ago, 10-Mar-05, to lugnet.trains)

Re: FLL not allowing NQC; Mindscript is allowed

(...) But not one single eensy-weensy bit of NQC ends up in the robot - it's just a tool. This is the HUGE misunderstanding that people seem to have. NQC *isn't* somehow loaded into the robot. Are you telling me that I can't use any TOOLS that (...) (21 years ago, 10-Mar-05, to lugnet.robotics)

Re: FLL not allowing NQC; Mindscript is allowed

Are you saying that any change to the rules to allow non-LEGO programming environments that target the standard LEGO firmware (including ones that they encourage people to use by selling tutorials for them on their (...)   Re: Wanted to trade: 6090 Royal Knight's Castle for Mindstorms.

The 6090 Castle is still up for trade if anyone wants to trade it for a Mindstorms 1.0 or even 1.5/2.0 kit. All serious offers will be considered. Cheers ... Geoffrey Hyde "Maggie Cambron" <mcambron@pacbell.net> wrote in message (...) (21 years ago, 9-Mar-05, to lugnet.market.buy-sell-trade)

Re: FLL not allowing NQC; Mindscript is allowed

(...) First off, judging the technical merit of a program of any significant degree of complexity by simply looking at the code (be it text-based or graphical) for 20 minutes or less is nonsense. The only judging of that sort that ought to occur (...) (21 years ago, 9-Mar-05, to lugnet.robotics, FTX)

Hey Allen, Thanks for the comments on my blog (URL). I link to a couple of other blogs there, Jon Palmer's (URL) Zemi.net> and Bill Ward's, um, (URL) Bill Ward>.   Re: CEO-Letter // The answer

  LEGO-related blogs?

I saw this post today: (URL) included a link to a LEGO-related blog. I'm sure Bruce can't be the only one writing about LEGO in his blog. So I wondered: Is there a list of LEGO-related blogs somewhere? Or a way to search for them somehow? If no one (...) (21 years ago, 9-Mar-05, to lugnet.general)

  Re: Evolution of the minifig

Hi Bruce (...) It looks really very good, I think. The only (minor!) thing I think would make a neat addition would be a nod at the ever-increasing number of colours in which minifig parts are available. A 1978 group shot vs. a 2005 one would be (...) (21 years ago, 9-Mar-05, to lugnet.build.minifigs, FTX)
