  Re: CEO-Letter // The answer

(...) OK, offer accepted. But - as I said - the speedboat model is still on the shelf, and will remain there until I get the other stuff I need to build the MOC I want from the parts I bought the sets for. And it's not much, only a few PaB-pieces I (...) (21 years ago, 9-Mar-05, to lugnet.color)

  Re: CEO-Letter // The answer

(...) That really is a matter of perspective. For persons who have spent years amassing large quantities of grey and dark grey, these bley pieces are incompatable with their collections. Even if an individual does come upon a large amount of bley, (...) (21 years ago, 9-Mar-05, to lugnet.color)

Re: suggestions on a mixture of 2nd to 5th graders

(...) I'd agree with the other poster, strongly dependant on the individuals. I worked with a group of 4-to-10 year olds for a couple years and got some useful stuff done. The biggest hurdle was programming - the younger kids didn't seem to have the (...) (21 years ago, 9-Mar-05, to lugnet.robotics.edu)

  Re: Kabaya Ghost Stories

(...) I was thinking the same thing as I was reading the stories and looking at the mocs. I don't think I would have every described a lego creation as creepy before. Well done. All of them are nicely built with nifty techniques. In particular, I (...) (21 years ago, 9-Mar-05, to lugnet.build.vignette, FTX)

  Re: What if.....

(...) Well, maybe not (if you are counting from the closed end). But I wanted to go to 11! (...) Truck with a pin all the way at one end. I've done it before. That pin will swivel if placed between 2 and 3 (21 years ago, 9-Mar-05, to lugnet.trains)

  Re: Some trains

(...) The C-C (1) wheel configuration was certainly used on some coaches in the UK, especially restaurant cars as they were heavier.   Re: A nice suprise.

(...) Unfortunatly, I will not be at this months dinner, Jen and I are heading up north [1] for the weekend.... Jeff VW [1] - just to bug Jen, It's actually more east then north (21 years ago, 9-Mar-05, to lugnet.org.ca.rtltoronto)

Things that are hard to do with LDraw and building instructions

Whenver I build a LEGO model, I always pay attention to things that they can do that we cannot, or we cannot do easily. One of the things that is very hard to do is, change the shape, orientation or location of a part added in previous steps. In (...) (21 years ago, 9-Mar-05, to lugnet.cad)

Town & Train Display - GATS Pictures - MichLTC

(3 URLs) MichLTC had the opportunity to display this past weekend at the Great American Train Show in Novi, MI. It was a lot of fun and a great layout.   Re: Teknomeka Instructions

  Re: CEO-Letter // The answer

Re: suggestions on a mixture of 2nd to 5th graders

<SNIP> (...) Blast it, I meant math, not match... by typo, bad! As a side note, both my 1st and 3rd grade daughters are designing competition robots, so far the 1st graders looks more likely to be successfully competitive. (21 years ago, 9-Mar-05, to lugnet.robotics.edu)

  Re: Teknomeka Instructions

(...) If you build one, I'd really like to see pictures of your progress. As for what's next, I think I'm going to try to make a 70s or early 80s style giant robot skin for the Teknomeka skeleton, to see how versatile it is. If it looks good, I'll (...) I really like these Paul. My favourite is the red cab unit. I love the way you did the nose with 65-degree slopes and curved bricks, and also the use of the socket part as the lamp.
