  Re: Favorite theme again

I hope not!! I like SW sets and all, but I would like to see more Space themed sets. It sounds a little too impractical and uncalled for. Half of Lego was Space for a time! Would Space Port be considered this, or is it Town? (...) (25 years ago, 30-Jul-99, to lugnet.general)

I feel like I am bombarding you all with information but I promise to keep this one relatively short. I have exchanged E-mail with the folks at www.baylug.org and they had some interesting information. They emphisized the fact that a professional (...)   Re: A challenge for seasoned Lego Trainers...

(...) Think out of the box. Upward motion is the wrong direction. GMLTC staffer John Gerlach prototyped a working all LEGO device that pushes two cars apart almost 2 months ago. The first working version is about the size of two RCX bricks stacked (...) (25 years ago, 30-Jul-99, to lugnet.trains, lugnet.trains.org, lugnet.build)

Re: RIS version 1.5 coming this fall

(...) I would be surprised, too. If I were doing RIS 1.5, I'd fix a few holes in the firmware (arrays and pointers, a subroutine return addr stack instead of one subroutine call per task, &c) and add some power to RCX Code without compromising its (...)   Re: New LEGO groups?

What great timing!! I was just going to send you a note with some questions about how you handle the linking. So far, we only have members from the couties that touch the SF Bay. But, I don't have a problem with being a Northern California club, if (...) (25 years ago, 30-Jul-99, to lugnet.loc.us.ca.sf)

Re: A challenge for seasoned Lego Trainers...

We (the PNLTC guys) have been thinking about this for a while. How to remotely uncouple cars. great challange. The magnets are so strong that it seems that any upward motion would merely derail the cars (leaving them coupled but laying on their (...) (25 years ago, 30-Jul-99, to lugnet.trains)

  Re: RCX accessories

Thumbs up for the remote! While it's true that you can only send 1/2/3 messages, I've written some code to combine these into 5-digit (trigit?) sequences. Because of the possibilty of mis-keying or mis-receiving a sequence, sequences that end with (...) (25 years ago, 30-Jul-99, to lugnet.robotics)
