Well here we are in 2005, and it is the 50th Anniversary of the Lego System of Play. And it is also the 50th Anniversary for Lego in Sweden. While up in the SF Bay Area over Chrismat I got a chance to visit the Niles Canyon Railway, with the help of Zonker. They had a Fairmont Speeder and a few trailers. I am thinking of doing a completely studless version of the 8448 set keeping it the same size. Should I bother or just move onto something else? And even with Rick's comments on the wheeled engine, but there are a lot of curved angles on the main body, so I don't think it looks too bad. (BTW, there may be (...)
