(...) The material that I'm thinking of is rather stiff, but still rolls up (not folds). Small irregularities aren't a big problem (besides, how flat is the wood in the first place? The open/close is done with a cam that opens it slowly and closes it fast, and the whack it creates when it closes seems to be enough to dislodge any jams. (...) (...) I think that would work... if it didn't cause the module to "walk" away from its neighboring modules. Currently, there is no mechanical connection between the GBCms, so excessive vibration may result in misalignment over time. Also, it takes a (...) FWIW, we ~COULD~ remove the bits of metal off the 1x8's and build the "wall" and put it on the floor. we would have to figure our "colouring the corners" BUT, then the fun of watching the playfield at table hight is gone.
