  Re: pneumatics & mindstorms?

(...) I had exactly the same experience. I used that kind of compressor on my S5 robot many months ago, it's slow and unefficient. The small pumps work much better. Ralph Hempel has a very good double action compressor in his page: (URL) like his (...) (25 years ago, 28-Jul-99, to lugnet.robotics)

Re: Homing with the IR Tower

(...) You can add more free wheels to make it very stable. (...) When I approached the Joel's challenge I was worried also about the time to collect the cans. My idea was to develop a reliable navigation system to minimize the time to find the cans. (...) (25 years ago, 28-Jul-99, to lugnet.robotics)

Re: odometry (was Re: Homing with the IR Tower)

(...) Yes, 95 ticks are always 95 ticks, but the point is if your robot really *is* in the position where it's expected to be on the floor. The main problem with odometry, as you know well, is that errors accumulate very fast. The unavoidable (...) (25 years ago, 28-Jul-99, to lugnet.robotics)

  Interesting Corellian Ship at LucasArts

I was just at the LucasArts website: (URL) And there's a picture of what seems to be a Corellian freighter of some kind. Does anyone know what ship this is? (25 years ago, 28-Jul-99, to lugnet.starwars)

  Re: submersible, ballast, depth sensor

Hi! I planned to build a sub myself about two years ago but couldn't find the time to build it. What I have to offer are some thoughts. Fortunately a submersible needs lots of ballast, so you can stuff it with lots of batteries and gear. So my plan (...) (25 years ago, 28-Jul-99, to lugnet.robotics.handyboard)

  Re: Lego Models in Ldraw

It's already been started. Check out (URL) are also some other pages that people are working on, but you'll have to look for them (I don't remember where they all are). I believe Jonathan Wilson is also working on a lot of models. You might also (...) (25 years ago, 28-Jul-99, to lugnet.cad)
