(...) Jason, great to hear from you again, I hope you are doing well. Thanks for noticing the broken rail, it's always a question of how broken in should things be, so I figured that it would be pretty damaged after the hoist. Thanks again! Jon (21 years ago, 13-Jan-05, to lugnet.pirates, FTX)

(...) Adrian, I was wondering if you could tell me more about the baseplate in this set? Do you have it, and if so What size is it? Is this the only set to utilize it? Jon (21 years ago, 13-Jan-05, to lugnet.pirates, FTX)

(...) Stephen, Thanks for your compliments, I really struggled as to whether to include the crows nest, I was nervous it would be a little too much. I'm really glad you enjoyed that bit! Jon (21 years ago, 13-Jan-05, to lugnet.pirates, FTX)

(...) Wouldn't it be awesome for TLC to make more of those catalogs and Idea books. As a child I would stare at those and dream about what I would do if I had that many bricks. Thanks again for the complements Gil. Jon (21 years ago, 13-Jan-05, to lugnet.pirates, FTX)

(...) Thanks for your kind words Jojo. The praise of the praiseworthy is the most satisfying sort! I did fret a bit over the black trees but figured that if they were good enough for the forestmen, then they would work for the pirates. I can't (...) (21 years ago, 13-Jan-05, to lugnet.pirates)

  Re: Vikings?

(...) Oh! Oh! And then, when someone leans over to see what's going on, a light sensor will detect that, and all of Steve's blue balls will explode into their eager mouth. Iain (21 years ago, 13-Jan-05, to lugnet.org.ca.rtltoronto)

  Code Pilot Light Sensor Circuit

Here's my drawing of the Code Pilot light sensor circuit: (URL) Looking at the components used, there's no reason why a similar circuit couldn't be used as an RCX sensor, though I see the real one is more sophisticated: (URL) In the Code Pilot, the (...) (...) Ever heard of Ross Neil? :^p Even besides him, many of us TFOLs, I should daresay, are as good as the adult builders in some cases. Hello! (...) I say the Vikings are both Pirates and Castle because the Vikings were Pirates (robberers comming over the sea) in Castle times. They are the link between the two themes. I guess LEGO decided to do them because Playmobil did Vikings, (...) (21 years ago, 13-Jan-05, to lugnet.castle)

  Re: Vikings?

(...) Vikings are definitely Castle. This line is based on mythology but the Vikings played a huge part in trading/colonizing/raiding the western European countries for which LEGOLAND Castle was likely based. They could easily be a subtheme or (...) (21 years ago, 13-Jan-05, to lugnet.castle)

Re: Error Diffusion Dithering in LEGO (ministeck) mosaics

I forgot to make one very important remark: Not everybody uses the same RGB colour values: this may lead to entirely different results, even if the same algorythm was used. I'm going to build a module which will just store up all the balls, moving them around within the module, but never letting them out. Then, it will paint all the balls blue. Iain (21 years ago, 13-Jan-05, to lugnet.org.ca.rtltoronto)
