Hi all, it's me Nik. This here is the Ground Engaging Combat Killer: Optimised (URL) this is the (URL) folder> post-moderation. PLMKWYT Nik (21 years ago, 20-Dec-04, to lugnet.space, FTX) !!

  Re: Memories..la...di...da

(...) That space base was my first, too! I loved that set & it led to more classic faves like: (URL) & Mobil Lab: (URL) Jeff (21 years ago, 20-Dec-04, to lugnet.space, FTX)

Re: Multiple numbers for same set (was: 10152 Update)

(...) Well I guess they have an example they can use as a test case now: [LEGOSet 8460] [LEGOSet 8431] [LEGOSet 8438] As far as I know, there is no difference between these sets except the number. I don't own 8438 so can't say definitively. ROSCO (21 years ago, 20-Dec-04, to lugnet.lego, FTX)

  Re: Vorton Battle Midget

(...) My inspiration was me asking a co worker what I should build. He said "A Vorton Battle Midget!" I asked him "what the hell is that?" He responed "I have no idea, that's your job." So I figured out, this is it. As for the fourth weapon? I (...) (21 years ago, 20-Dec-04, to lugnet.space, FTX)

  Re: 4 new X-pod sets

(...) Probably old news by now, but... I found the new x-Pod sets today at the TRU in Gainesville, FL (although the stockers had hidden them behind the valences over the LEGO section :/ ). TRU is selling them for $3.99. Ray (21 years ago, 20-Dec-04, to lugnet.market.shopping)

  Re: Memories..la...di...da

(...) I had other basic building sets, but this was my very first Space set: (URL) The asymmetry bothered me so much! The brochure that came in the box led to much badgering of my parents, which in turn led to this under the tree, Christmas '79: (...) (21 years ago, 20-Dec-04, to lugnet.space, FTX)

  Re: Vorton Battle Midget

(...) Hah! I swear I laughed out load when I saw that giant rail gun, gatling cannon, missile launcher, and (what, quad lasers? flame throwers? bazookas?) stuck on that tiny tank. Very clever. What was your inspiration? (21 years ago, 20-Dec-04, to lugnet.space, FTX)

  Re: 10152 Update

In lugnet.lego, Jake McKee wrote: SNIP (...) Jake, Thanks for the update. I really appreciate being able to get info on special sets like this. I wouldn't even know this set existed if it wasn't for TLC sharing info like this on LUGNET. I know I'm (...) (21 years ago, 20-Dec-04, to lugnet.lego, FTX)

  Re: 10152 Update

(...) That's a fair assertion. Being somebody who collects sets to build them, I don't have the mindset that "limited quantities" = "collectible". Again, though, at the time that was written, that was accurate. (...) At the risk of belaboring a (...) (21 years ago, 20-Dec-04, to lugnet.lego, FTX)

  Re: Micro roundhouse

(...) Yes I agree- it's very detailed for it's size. If I had that many grilles, I'd run and make one too. The doors seem to open too. All in all, a very detailed MOC. BTW, you can hit the up button and see his other stuff. Worth a look. Pretty cool (...) (21 years ago, 20-Dec-04, to lugnet.trains)
