Re: source for 1 x 12 technic beams in red?

Damn, I was hoping for a set that is likely to be out there that I could pick up (either current or recent) But as there are none, I need to either hope someone local can sell me what I need or failing that, bricklink is the next best choice. Buying (...) (21 years ago, 13-Dec-04, to lugnet.technic)

Re: Discussion of Train Table Sizes

I have always been incredibly impressed by SCLTC tables. Heck, I am always impressed by SCLTC layouts, too. All custom-built tables are impressive to some degree. Here at LUCNY, us crazy New Yorkers discuss building our own tables regularly, but (...) (21 years ago, 13-Dec-04, to lugnet.trains.org)

  Re: Taz

(...) Cool, thanks for the tips Larry! Could I do the mailing list through my regular email or is there a program I would need to get? I don't have any Microsoft mail stuff, just the mail program that comes with Juno. Bill (21 years ago, 13-Dec-04, to lugnet.build)

  Re: Taz

(...) Thanks for the comments! In the prototype I used 2 black 2x2 turntable plates. But since that part isn't made in brown (for the general public anyway), I used a well placed jumper with 1x2 tiles next to it for extra support. Then I was able to (...)   Re: Cycloplin: a one-man airship

(...) Nice job, Kevin. I've never seen one one these modeled in Lego before. Where did you get the idea? Somehow, the movie Waterworld comes to mind. My favorite detail is the wizard's hat. I guess it wasn't necessary for TLC to make a one-piece (...) (21 years ago, 12-Dec-04, to lugnet.build.ancient, lugnet.castle, FTX)

  Re: Why NQC over Robolab?

(...) I suspected as much. (...) Well crud. Now I'm going to have to go out and get one of those things. (...) Suffice to say, Robolab does not currently support the Spybot. Sounds like an interesting project though.... Tom (21 years ago, 13-Dec-04, to lugnet.robotics)

Re: Discussion of Train Table Sizes

(...) SCLTC builds its own tables from 0.240 inch thick melamine coated hardboard and uses 1.910 inch diameter black ABS pipe for the legs. Both materials are cheap and readily available. The drawback to the hardboard is that it is not waterproof, (...) (21 years ago, 13-Dec-04, to lugnet.trains.org)

  Re: Cycloplin: a one-man airship

(...) Lots to like there in a very small space. It's like an "air vignette"! I think my fave part is the wizard's hat. We get so used to using the cast hat that we all forget that there are other ways to make it! That's pretty clever. Are the rubber (...)   Re: Shop@Home Nightmare! (from a now ex-AFOL)

S@H is to expensive in Australia. I prefer to buy from EBAY in the US and pay the additional $30USD shipping. When you add $40 AUD to the price of a purchase and it's still cheaper than S@H, you soon learn not to bother. (21 years ago, 13-Dec-04, to lugnet.market.shopping, lugnet.dear-lego)

Re: In preparation for BrickFest '05

(...) Very COOL!!! (...) John, outstanding work! That is some serious kit-bashing! You have raised the bar on micro 2 wide trains, and I have a feeling I may be on the verge of my very first modification. This has opened my eyes, I only hope I can (...) (21 years ago, 13-Dec-04, to lugnet.trains)
