Re: New England Church - MOC for Lego Factory week 4

(...) What a progressive church -- everyone attending seems to be driving a Toyota Prius! My kind of place. You created a lot of pleasing detail just by choosing different 1 x 1 brick elements -- a beam here, a headlight brick there. Nice job. (...)   Re: N-Fedge primitives

(...) The consistency is in the basic four fractions: 1-4, 2-4, 3-4, 4-4. The other measures are (more or less) deliberate inconsistencies to name files that don't fit the basic standard. (...) Yes, that would be an incorrect consideration. Part (...) (21 years ago, 9-Dec-04, to lugnet.cad.dat.parts.primitives, FTX)

Re: Who Lied? (was: Halving the colours in the palette - Lego Life Sept 2004)

I think this is a new initiative to further cut costs. Its funny one part of Lego decides it needs to control the pallette and amount of "usuable parts" in the system, while another part keeps on coming out with new colors and new parts (molds) for (...)   Re: Shop@Home Nightmare! (from a now ex-AFOL)

Wow!!! That is crazy. I can see an "amateur start-up" making that kind of rookie mistake but that shouldn't happen at a seasoned place like our dear Lego Shop@Home. I had one order this fall that was pretty messed up as well. I ordered a bunch of (...) (21 years ago, 9-Dec-04, to lugnet.market.shopping, lugnet.dear-lego)

  Re: Wire communication

(...) I think all you really need to do is switch the motor port between "float" and "brake". That's the same as opening and closing a touch sensor. I've used that for simple signals, and it seems to work fine, but I haven't tried more complex (...) (21 years ago, 9-Dec-04, to lugnet.robotics.rcx.legos)

Re: Halving the colours in the palette - Lego Life Sept 2004

(...) Amen! It seems like LEGO is trying to walk a tightrope, cutting costs, but still maintaining their image as the leader in quality. I don't think they're doing a very good job of it. IMO, LEGO is *currently* not being clobbered on price, but on (...) (21 years ago, 9-Dec-04, to lugnet.general)

Re: The Great Ball Contraption (was Re: Rolling ball clock revisited)

(...) There will be a minimum throuhgput to solve that. Right now, we're testing with 1 ball/second. So, the very first module will be regulated to run somewhere just below that speed. As long as everyone else can meet the minimum, there will be no (...) (21 years ago, 9-Dec-04, to lugnet.technic, lugnet.robotics)

Re: anyone know where I can find this part in australia?

A word about the part reference provided by bricklink to peeron - this is incorrect, as bricklink and peeron do not use the same part numbers. The peeron part number for this part is (URL) - they are found both in 6180 and 6199, however, finding (...) (21 years ago, 9-Dec-04, to lugnet.loc.au)
