  Re: 2000, and beyond

(...) I'll second these kudos; I like seeing the new colors (more orange and tan stuff, please.) I like some of the new pieces, especially the hinges with detents. I also prefer lots of bricks to the prefab "Jr." pre-built chassis. -Z- (URL) (26 years ago, 24-May-99, to lugnet.dear-lego)

  Re: Lego Dragons/Dinosaurs

(...) Hello Keith, Today I've tried to make a dragon during lunch. At the moment I'm working abroad, so I don't have LDraw and only some LEGO pieces that I picked up on a fleamarket Saturday. My terrifying dragon ended up being more a cute dinosaur (...) (26 years ago, 24-May-99, to lugnet.build)

(...) I do too. I know individual letters (as opposed to form letters) are best, but will they think something's up if all our lists are the same? (...) Yes; we should make it fairly easy for them as far as not implying a new production run. I (...) (26 years ago, 24-May-99, to lugnet.trains)

  Re: Upon Further Review...barrier answer

I will tell you what the book said. The book noted that those barriers are a security device designed to slow down and halt intruders getting close to the basement area of the palace. Apparently they tripped the security system while on route on the (...) (26 years ago, 24-May-99, to lugnet.starwars)

Re: SW Lego Design Contest Rules Version 1.0

I think that if you POV Ray it then it should be decent quality(AA on). But say I do one of just the model and then one of the model with a background then they really should be the same when being judged. This only seems fair because some (...) (26 years ago, 24-May-99, to lugnet.starwars)

  Re: Using SPI

(...) Dear Carlos, I will make it available. I have managed to improve on the code so I have better control, but have a way to go yet before it is finish. Mike is right, in his twisted sort of way;-) Gray is an obvious choice. But hey, let's dream a little-- how about silver??!! Silver doors and windows! Now that's entertainment! 'Course, they'd have to release silver bricks, too, but how many of us (...) (26 years ago, 24-May-99, to lugnet.trains)

Re: Where should I center this one?

(...) The center should be centered on the top of the brick, between the studs, as it is with every other hinge piece in LDraw. Moving the center of rotation to the hinge is a trivial amount of work, as it is with every other hinge piece in LDraw. (...) (26 years ago, 24-May-99, to lugnet.cad.dev)

  Re: 6090 Ponderings ...

(...) Doubt it, but then again, I also doubted the 6097 would go for 50% off, even though it did stink. Still, I think enough people order this one at full price that it might not make it to 50% off. Maybe 75%, which would be an ok deal. (...) Mine (...) (26 years ago, 24-May-99, to lugnet.market.shopping)
