  Re: ABS... but which one?

(...) You mean to say you were... *targeting*? ;-) (...) Precisely. It's based on a feeling, and I'm not alone in that. OTOH, I may be wrong - human nature is not famous for it's infallibility... (...) So have I. And that's why I noticed this in the (...) (22 years ago, 3-Jan-03, to lugnet.general)

  Re: New MINIs on Rebelscum.com

(...) Yeah, the AT-AT is hideous, but check out those 8 (count em, 8!) grey wedges. I'm definitely buying multiples of this guy. -Chris (22 years ago, 3-Jan-03, to lugnet.starwars)

  Re: My Adventurers ISCC entry

Gary, Beautiful work! I think my favorite details are the little things around the office. Those file cabinets, for instance, look perfect. Another favorite detail is the fire escape. Great work. Bruce (22 years ago, 3-Jan-03, to lugnet.adventurers)

This is early, I know, but...

So... 1) I am assuming that the GATS is our January Meeting, right? 2) I am also assuming (hoping is more like it) that the Train Show will drum up some new membership/perspective membership. So...My point is: Do we want to set a time and place for (...) (22 years ago, 3-Jan-03, to lugnet.org.us.lucny)

  Re: New MINIs on Rebelscum.com

(...) Well, they look pretty decent...the Falcon and Gunship look great. I don't care for the AT-AT though. Thanks for the heads up, -Kevin (22 years ago, 3-Jan-03, to lugnet.starwars)

  Re: Train 4: Coming Soon

(...) Something about the best laid plans of mice and men comes to mind... I'm home with the flu. I've been sick for 2 weeks now and it just won't go away. Anyway, I'm pulling out two modules and puting something on them for the corner. I have to (...) (22 years ago, 3-Jan-03, to lugnet.org.ca.rtltoronto)

  Re: Abston Church of Christ

Amy, After not seeing this for a long time, I am once again overwhelmed. Beautiful! Oh, on the comments. I got a bunch of "Get a life/job/girlfriend" comments when my site got slashdotted. I guess it bothered me at the very first, but then I (...) (22 years ago, 3-Jan-03, to lugnet.build.arch)

Re: New MOCs: Some really tiny NYC landmarks

(...) Hi Sean, Very nice. I really like the Citigroup Tower (& Church...nice) and the UN. Both very nicely done. That day you and I met outside the Citigroup Tower I really noticed how impressive it really is....and you've captured it well. Very (...)   Re: sfbay target clearance @ 50% off...

Thanks for the heads up. Everyone please mention stores that hit 75% off IF you don't wipe them out - I'm still looking for some log cars at 75% off, but I'm not driving to NAPA for them ;-) Make sure you mention exactly WHICH store, including the (...)   Black Seas Barracuda - Hooray!

Ahoy there me maties! Christmas sailed into my house in the form of a Black Seas Barracuda. It took me about 3-4 hours to put together whilst watching tv. I finished it off Christmas evening whilst watching the film "Jaws". Nice to see the BBC (...) (22 years ago, 3-Jan-03, to lugnet.loc.uk, lugnet.pirates)

  "Challenger" version 2.0

I spent several more hours playing with this yesterday. Changed the top of the boiler to use the 2x6 'train' roof bricks, this allows a nice smooth tiled top. I also got a pretty good start on the tender, but I'm still waiting for pieces. (The (...) (22 years ago, 3-Jan-03, to lugnet.trains)

  Re: Incomplete parts

(...) Back in the days when these parts were released we had neither the Parts Tracker nor the tools to view these parts critically. Acceptance was based on a majority vote, and "no" votes did get over-ruled. Now, the certification process is more (...) (22 years ago, 3-Jan-03, to lugnet.cad)

  Republic Gunship

Has anyone been able to find one in stock at their local store in WI or northern IL. I'm located in Kenosha. TRU has one (1) in Racine, but it's really beat up, and full price. I've called a ton of stores already. Thanks in advance. travis (22 years ago, 3-Jan-03, to lugnet.loc.us.wi)

  Nice LEGO truck link!

Hello everybody, You must see this site. These are Black Cat wheels based LEGO trucks (Scania, DAF, Peterbilt etc). Unfortunately he doesn't build trucks anymore. Therefore he constructs 1:24 scale trains instead. The URL is: (URL) fun! Dennis (22 years ago, 3-Jan-03, to lugnet.modelteam)

Walmart: Chamber of Secrets at $20.00!

Hi All, You might want to keep tabs on your local Walmart! My nearest store (in Texas) has dropped their prices again on all clearance stuff! I picked up a couple of the HP set "Chamber of Secrets" (4730) for $20 each! The "Troll on the loose" was (...) (22 years ago, 3-Jan-03, to lugnet.market.shopping)

Re: New MOCs: Some really tiny NYC landmarks

The one I was thinking of was this: (URL) same author (Stephen Biesty) has done several others, one on a castle, another on a ship, etc. There's a similar one that is just about an apartment building, but I can't find it. If you look around the (...) (22 years ago, 3-Jan-03, to lugnet.build.arch)

Re: What a downer :-( ...and we still will hang on....

I had some coffe and read this thread. I got to thinking about the range of Technic parts and brick. I figure what falls into a Technic part catagory is so essential to building stuff that moves or helps form features, that it could never go away. I (...)
