  Re: ABS... but which one?

I have bought some lately (bulk) that seem to not even want to stay together. Out of a stack of 25 2x4 bricks. I usually find 1 or 2 that fall apart from its proposed partner. I always just find another spot for them or take them out of the model. (...) (22 years ago, 3-Jan-03, to lugnet.general)

  Re: New Mecha (finally...)

Hey man, this looks awesome! I think I like it better than your other platforms. This colour scheme works really well, it makes it feel very militaryish, as these colors did on the wolf. (...) Yeah I could tell you got inspiration from the Leapord (...) (22 years ago, 3-Jan-03, to lugnet.build.mecha)

Re: (Drum Roll Please) SUPERHERO BRIKWARS

(...) Oh, I'm way in on this one :) Was Tom showing up too? This weekend may involve some time building some punchable structures, too... I'll see what colors I have the most tiles in :) DaveE (22 years ago, 3-Jan-03, to lugnet.org.us.nelug)

  Re: 4-6-6-4 "Challenger" (in progress!)

John- That challenger is looking really nice with those siver hubs. And I really like your use of the cam piece inside the wheel - I think I may have to do that myself. :) (...) Josh- For your 2-10-0 you may want to try using inverted hammers as (...) (22 years ago, 3-Jan-03, to lugnet.trains)

  A Star Destroyer Pictorial

Here's a little project that I though I'd share with all the other Lego fans. I got a package in the mail yesterday, and I was practically giddy with excitement. Can't say as much for the project foreman, but what can you do, she's probably smarter (...) (22 years ago, 3-Jan-03, to lugnet.starwars)

  Re: What a downer :-(

(...) I was under the impression that all the problems being listed in the post(s) I replied to were related to the short attention spans being cultivated in new generations these days. Addiction to one form of entertainment may be bad, but it's a (...) (22 years ago, 3-Jan-03, to lugnet.general, lugnet.lego.direct, lugnet.technic)

Some more details on the AT-AT

I found this article from a few days ago on Rebelscum.com (URL) sucks I have to wait 6 months for it. :-( Jude (22 years ago, 3-Jan-03, to lugnet.starwars)

  Re: ABS... but which one?

(...) I didn't say that; perhaps I was not clear enough. What I meant was: brand new bricks bought 10 years ago (before the claimed ABS change), and brand new bricks bought *now* click different from each other. In fact, the more recent ones don't (...) (22 years ago, 3-Jan-03, to lugnet.general)

Re: Have HoverBike, will travel. Build your own today!

Dang Chris! I love those bikes. they're so small, yet have some great detail. I might have to try building one myself :). Jamie www.ozbricks.com/jneufeld (...) (22 years ago, 3-Jan-03, to lugnet.space)

  Re: Abston Church of Christ

Amy & All, (...) various forums and what not, this is one of the reasons I don't really do any outside of LUGNET and MichLUG of course. : ) I just want to say your all of your work, especially this project, is simply awesome, it is a beautiful (...) (22 years ago, 3-Jan-03, to lugnet.build.arch)

Re: Now here's a big one.

(...) Cool! Of course, they could go modular with it - you can build the set in the phases of construction :-) Hey, we can dream, right? Brad, you listening? ;-) -Tim (22 years ago, 3-Jan-03, to lugnet.lego.direct)

Re: New MOCs: Some really tiny NYC landmarks

Very cool. I like the detail you've managed to put into them at this small a scale. The underground detail completes the models, IMO. Nice. -Stefan- (22 years ago, 3-Jan-03, to lugnet.build.arch)

  Re: What a downer :-(

Oh, COME ON. We go through this EVERY year. The new catalog comes out, people whine about no Technic in it. Technic is almost never listed in the first catalog of the year. There WILL be some nice Technic sets this year, they're just going to show (...) (22 years ago, 3-Jan-03, to lugnet.lego.direct, lugnet.technic)

  Re: New Mecha (finally...)

You've got some very cool stuff on you're site. This awsome mecha makes me want to watch ghost in the shell again ;) (...) (22 years ago, 3-Jan-03, to lugnet.build.mecha)

  Re: What a downer :-(

While I can't reveal my source, I can confirm that Paul is correct. Though the Technic fire truck I saw wasn't red but black and lime green, kind of like an airport fire truck. There is a yellow backhoe that looks quite large. Also there is a (...) (22 years ago, 3-Jan-03, to lugnet.technic)

  Re: My Adventurers ISCC entry

Very cool. I'm going to be stealing quite a few ideas from your pictures. Great use of the lions heads in the archways. I also really liked the flower in the vase, the fire excape, and the armoured cars were cool.... I usually buy adventurer sets so (...) (22 years ago, 3-Jan-03, to lugnet.adventurers)

  Re: ABS... but which one?

In lugnet.general, Pedro Silva writes:> (...) I fail to see the logic in this statement. These stories talk about how older bricks *today* click differently than new bricks *today*. But I have seen no reference to how well old bricks were when (...) (22 years ago, 3-Jan-03, to lugnet.general)

  Re: 2002 Rocket list!

(...) Huh-- Now, this is odd. Using the search tool, I went back and searched for posts by me (Todd built in a little date checker-ish thing(1)) to see how I've done over the years: 1999 - 332 2000 - 354 2001 - 593 2002 - 300 Now, the interesting (...) (22 years ago, 3-Jan-03, to lugnet.people)

  Abston Church of Christ

Well, it's been up for a month and a half and is handling the traffic okay, so I thought I might risk an announcement... The Abston Church of Christ is back online. I've added some "...for dummies" style explanations about minifigs and other stuff (...) (22 years ago, 3-Jan-03, to lugnet.build.arch, lugnet.announce.moc) !

Re: Now here's a big one.

(...) Really frickin' huge :) The station is 240 feet across the solar arrays, 146 feet long, and 90 feet high. Using an extremely rough minifig scale conversion of 1:40, we're talking 6 feet by 3.6 feet by 2.3 feet. That would cover a tabletop area (...) (22 years ago, 3-Jan-03, to lugnet.lego.direct)
