  Re: My New Website

(...) Yep, comments are rare in castle these days *sigh*. I'm not exactly sure what the deal with castle world is right now, and I guess it's the lack of activity there that kind of stymied most of the posting in this group. (Go to Isle of Mist, and (...)   Re: gear train

(...) I found they're not really linear and aren't useful for any continuous drive. Calum (22 years ago, 2-Jan-03, to lugnet.org.ca.rtltoronto)

  Re: Posting frequency?

(...) Indeed there are. The real fun comes when you start treating the first two as the third. (Not to be confused with treating the third as either of the first two of course :-) ). I think that this thread must be the longest (chronologically) on (...) (22 years ago, 2-Jan-03, to lugnet.people)

Re: A couple of new MOCs & site update

In lugnet.trains, Christopher Masi writes (in part): (...) Agreed. B&M was one of the few roads to use blue cabooses. (Conrail being another, I think, and I am sure there are others) So blue B&M rolling stock is a natural fit! (I don't have a (...) (22 years ago, 2-Jan-03, to lugnet.trains)

Re: A few comments on decorated pieces

(...) On trans-elements, use of Brasso leaves the element slightly cloudy. On those printed 2x2 slopes, printing gets into the crevice running along the sides of the element and is not at all easy to get off even using Brasso. -- Hop-Frog (22 years ago, 2-Jan-03, to lugnet.space)

  Re: 4-6-6-4 "Challenger" (in progress!)

(...) Glad to hear you like it. I'll be working on it some more tomorrow, I'll try to take some more pictures showing the linkages and guide wheels. I *think* the same idea will work for four drive wheels in a row, I'll try it out and see what (...) (22 years ago, 2-Jan-03, to lugnet.trains)

Re: A couple of new MOCs & site update

(...) I wasn't trying to imply anyting about the quality of any of the sets. I think all three are top notch. The thing I find especially pleasing is the color scheme. To me the white highlighted blue engine and caboose around the blue car with the (...) (22 years ago, 2-Jan-03, to lugnet.trains)

  gear train

At what point do you give up with an overly complex gear train, and redesign? I need a way to transfer axle rotation 90 degrees, then 6 studs left and then 3 bricks down..... that's to the first half... from there it travels back UP and across blah (...)   Re: Happy birthday, Minifig!

(...) It seems like only yesterday... (...) Hmmm... 25 years will mark the expiry of (some of the) minifig patents too... which could be interesting (I note that the head (more or less), the pigtail girl hair, the peaked cap and the cowboy hat are (...) (22 years ago, 2-Jan-03, to lugnet.general)
