Do you separate old vs. new LEGO?

I was wondering about this yesterday. I try to keep all of my new and almost new LEGO separated from the old well played LEGO. Why? Probably because I don't like to build something new, and then find that a few pieces really stand out because they (...) (27 years ago, 13-May-99, to lugnet.build)

(...) The Space Shuttle is still on the shelves here in Italy (but VERY expensive). Other sources for the turntable are the 8460 Pneumatic Crane Truck (off catalog but still easy to find here) and the 8443 Pneumatic Log Loader (on catolg and widely (...) 8443 has one, and isn't terribly expensive. It has nice pneumatics as well. I bought one on sale from S@H a year or so ago (back when they had good weekly sales on Technic stuff...those days seem to be over). alex ----- Original Message ----- From: (...)   Re: Building exhaustion

(...) There is one thing that I do that helps dispel the discouragement that I feel when attempting to work on a new creation. I have these 10 inch x 14 inch (25,4cm x 37cm) paper food trays from a former work locations cafeteria. If I'm working on (...) (27 years ago, 13-May-99, to lugnet.build)

  Suggestion for LDraw FAQ

[crossposted to lugnet.faq and lugnet.cad.dev, followup-to set to lugnet.faq] Looking at the LDraw FAQ, it looks like a new level of organization is needed, above the current levels. More precisely, a large number of the topics should be grouped (...) (27 years ago, 13-May-99, to lugnet.faq, lugnet.cad.dev)

(...) Oh yes, forgot about the Space Shuttle. But it's been discontinued, otherwise I might well have bought one. Stuart -- Did you check the web site first?: (URL) (27 years ago, 13-May-99, to lugnet.robotics)

(...) I haven't opened the box yet (anticipation is part of the fun), but it looks like there is one in my 8480 Space Shuttle kit. Not that that is really an inexpensive alternative. (27 years ago, 13-May-99, to lugnet.robotics)

Re: How can I find information about specific LEGO pieces?

(...) It's Anders Isaksson's LDLIST, available at (URL). But you need LDraw installed to use it. So an alternate parts-reference tool might be appropriate, such as Technica or Lutz' page, or my occasionally-maintained site: (URL) (links to Technica (...) (27 years ago, 13-May-99, to lugnet.faq)
