Re: No speculations here about 2002 sets...

Calm down a bit. Over the past few years, Lego has been releasing new sets, catalogs, and set information over the entire model year -- so, this catalog does not represent the entire line. Last year, Lego made the mistake of hinting at two upcoming (...) (25 years ago, 27-Oct-00, to lugnet.year.2002, lugnet.general)

  Re: Building organisation methods

(...) I'm using a curved plate because then I can have the trucks use it as a drive way and loading zone. I still have to build the equipment. You've got the corner store and office building WAY back (5') in the corner where it won't be seen. I (...) (25 years ago, 27-Oct-00, to lugnet.org.ca.vlc)

  Re: Why I HATE Lego

(...) While I can't come very close to building it, had I got started several years ago, there would have been a good possibility of doing it. 10 Breezeway Cafes and about 15 Sand Dollar Cafes would have provided all the curved glass parts. Those (...) (25 years ago, 27-Oct-00, to lugnet.general)

  Re: New parts for 2001?

"Tom Stangl" <toms@netscape.com> wrote in message news:39F89477.B089A1...ape.com... (...) IMHO, they _are_ the very _same_ parts used as junctions for the tubes in the base set. (25 years ago, 27-Oct-00, to lugnet.general)

Re: Please comment on speed of shop.lego.com

(...) to (...) me (...) sit (...) LEGO may have one of the slowest commerical page around. The page has extreme CPU usage without doing anything. (25 years ago, 27-Oct-00, to lugnet.lego.direct)

  Re: Life on Mars

(...) I believe you are correct. Look at this picture: (URL) has little pictures of aliens shooting through the tubes. And there's a picture of a mechanism that looks like it switches the tubes so that only one can be operational at a time. Pretty (...) (25 years ago, 27-Oct-00, to lugnet.space, lugnet.year.2001)

Classic Space set design and building contest

I grew up on classic Space (1978-1986) and I still have a huge soft spot in my heart for old simple smileys and single-color astronaut uniforms. It's seeming more and more like the LEGO Space System product line (originally LEGOLAND Space, followed (...) (25 years ago, 27-Oct-00, to lugnet.build.contests, lugnet.space, lugnet.announce) !!

  Re: Why I HATE Lego

I have 3 or four of the corner big ones, but no straight ones. I think I have 6 of the small straight ones. I've seen a few of the straight large ones (never more than about 3) on MOCs at some town web sites. I can't remember where though. We'd have (...) (25 years ago, 27-Oct-00, to lugnet.general)

  Re: Timmy has competition

I don't mind this insanely happy fig. He kinda reminds me of that guy that's always screaming on the Dilbert cartoon show. I don't mind that Lego is creating people with personalities. I mean, how much personality can you instill in a fig that looks (...) (25 years ago, 27-Oct-00, to lugnet.build.minifigs)
