I've noticed that there are no universal building sets this year in the Technic line. 8062 is discontinued, apparently, with nothing replacing it as a moderately bulk supply of a good selection of spare parts. Or is the current '99 catalog (...) (27 years ago, 17-Jan-99, to lugnet.dear-lego)

it sure is! from a visual basic perspective, use: RCX.Poll(3, n) given your spirit is named RCX and "n" is the motor you want to check (0-2). the byte that is returned is packed as follows (from the spirit.ocx sdk): Bit 7: ON/OFF 1/0 Bit 6: (...) (27 years ago, 17-Jan-99, to lugnet.robotics)

i'm not sure, but i don't think this would work. when i was developing mine, i once tried to run it without the ir pulses to see if it would work off the led (constant instead of pulsing) and it proceeded to immediately run into everything it had (...) (27 years ago, 17-Jan-99, to lugnet.robotics)
