  Re: RCX firmware size?

(...) Each increment up to 1700 or so is 10 bytes. The firmware binary image is exactly 16K counting the zero padding at the end. If you use firmdl.c, you don't send the zero bytes at the end, and you end up downloading around 15.5K. I don't know (...) (27 years ago, 7-Jan-99, to lugnet.robotics)

  Re: legOS help needed

(...) Strange. I don't have cygwin set up at the moment, so I can't test this out, but some stupid questions: Are you in the directory that contains light-sensor.srec? Are you sure you have the name correct? Are you sure you have the paths correct? (...) (27 years ago, 7-Jan-99, to lugnet.robotics)

  Fw: RcxCC Joystick controls

I've given a bit of thought to the line of sight prob with the IR receiver on the RCX and have come up with an idea that should help, as long as the RCX and the IR tower have line of sight, no matter which direction the RCX is facing. Lego purists - (...) (27 years ago, 7-Jan-99, to lugnet.robotics)

  Re: RcxCC Joystick controls

My experiences with your (wonderful) program is very good. The only thing that bugs me is that the IR sensor doesn't transmit when the IR sensor on the RCX is facing the other way! I fixed this by taping the ir transmitter to the RCX, and now it (...) (27 years ago, 7-Jan-99, to lugnet.robotics)

  Re: Pneumatic Tanks

If you measure out the right about of dry ice, you could compress those guns with out a compressor. However it is very dangerous. When those things explode it is LOUD. I believe it could take off fingers. So, if your playing with this stuff, be (...) (27 years ago, 7-Jan-99, to lugnet.robotics)

  Re: Ethernet for RCX?

(...) Let me guess... you want to run Apache on the RCX and serve digital camera images, so that people can drive your bot around from the web? :) Here's a piece of Zen for you: Q: How do you fit a mountain in a teacup?
