Re: Planning on a new History of LEGO Windows....

(...) The problem is you can't poof that anything doesn't exist, but it is extremely improbable.... (BTW: do white motor baseplates exist? Do 12-spoked classic trainwheels exist?   RE: I need LUGNET portable

(...) You should usually be able to get a pretty good guess of the price by box size and number of pieces. Figure 10-20 cents a piece, prolly closer to 15-20 cents for recent sets. HTH, --Bram Bram Lambrecht BXL34@po.cwru.edu (URL) (26 years ago, 15-Aug-00, to lugnet.general)

  Noooooo!!!!!!

Noooooo!!!!!!The Lugnet homepage has been changed! Dang it! I liked the old one better, as the newsgroups were at the top and showed the number of messages. It'll take forever to find new posts now. Woe is me! :( --==Sergio==-- (26 years ago, 15-Aug-00, to lugnet.general)

Re: RCX 1.0 and RCX 1.5 - ANY differences???

The only difference between the 1.0 and 1.5 hardware is the power jack. IMO, the 1.0 RCX is more valuable because of this. I'm not sure if the 2.0 firmware will run on the 1.0 & 1.5 but I can't imagine LEGO would put out an upgrade that wasn't (...) (26 years ago, 15-Aug-00, to lugnet.robotics.rcx)

Re: Harry Potter (Film) Set (Protected Spoiler)  [DAT]

(...) My girlfriend and I agreed quite a while back that Rickman would make an excellent Snape. If somehow his younger self (the one who wasted his talent in that horrid movie "Robin Hood: Prince of Thieves") could be brought forward in time, he (...)   Are technic ideas books still made?

Are technic ideas books still produced? Some of the old ones on brickshelf are quite amazing. Just wish I got some of them while I had the chance! Mike (26 years ago, 15-Aug-00, to lugnet.books, lugnet.technic)

Re: Odd Auction? Take a look...

(...) It seems that the seller is one of us, because I posted a message about his auction about 2 hours before he added that. If he does read this, add a new message explaining where you got them, and how, and you will become a god! (in my eyes at (...) (26 years ago, 15-Aug-00, to lugnet.castle)

Re: Will Lego Learn a lesson?

(...) In general, I agree... I think there's a lot of reasons Lego's losing money, though. 1. Legoland Theme Parks - The plan was (as I recall) to release parks every 3 years around the world. Certainly the most recent in Carlsbad cost them FAR more (...) (26 years ago, 15-Aug-00, to lugnet.general, lugnet.dear-lego)

  Re: gun1 project

Truly amazing! Where do you get so many grey pieces from? Maybe you could now build a complete arsnel- grenades, machine guns, handguns, ammo belts etc. Mike (26 years ago, 15-Aug-00, to lugnet.build)

8006 "Swamp Craft" has the suspension braces from 8458

I just got a box with the 8006 Swamp Craft, and it appears to have two of the large, angled suspension arms which are also used in the 8458 Silver Champion! Well, I don't have the 8458, but I assume they are the same element. They look very similar (...) (26 years ago, 15-Aug-00, to lugnet.technic)

Damn! You are good! I thought I scooped you this time on the area's clearanced Lego!   Re: Female mecha

I think Mark is referring to mecha that is anthropomorphically female, not mecha that is piloted by a female. The Queadlunn-Rau armor, while designated as female armor, doesn't look female or make you think of the female form. But I'm a Macross (...) (26 years ago, 15-Aug-00, to lugnet.build.mecha)
