  3DS MAX

Are any of you 3D Studio Max users? If so, do you know where I could get the program? I'd like to see how it works and maybe use it for some stuff. If you have any suggestions for other 3D programs, LMK. Thanks, --Bram Bram Lambrecht (...) (26 years ago, 10-Aug-00, to lugnet.cad)

Re: When's the next Zellers sale?

(...) having (...) G'day Andrew, I dunno myself, but it's possible there may not be another one. That sale (2 weeks was it?) was part of Zellers' store-wide end-of-summer clearance, to make room for things coming in for the fall. I'd imagine most of (...)   Re: SW "PodRacing" bucket -- That's not Sebulba in there... >:-P ~~~

(...) I saw that. I think the least Lego could have done is use the Gasgano head they had in the big podracing set. That one at least looks kind of alien. Aquanauts heads are useless. (26 years ago, 10-Aug-00, to lugnet.starwars)

  Suspension

Does anyone have designs for a suspension setup using the dark gray shock absorbers? I would like it to have a lot of travel, and have the axle drive the wheel. (I'm building a sort of space rover. So far I've built one wheel (about 13 studs in (...) (26 years ago, 10-Aug-00, to lugnet.technic, lugnet.build)

  Re: 3DS MAX

You can get it free still I think from there website. I know that last month they were offering it out free. I had to get it because it was originally like a 800 dollar program (...) (26 years ago, 10-Aug-00, to lugnet.cad)

  Re: Bridget

(...) Nope... never downloaded it as I have no CAD program, and I've not seen it either. I've been using that gun design for quite a while now. A coincidence I suppose. Greg "Yeah, we now know that having no arc sucks" Majewski (URL) (26 years ago, 10-Aug-00, to lugnet.build.mecha, lugnet.space)

I don't know if anyone shops here or not, but lately I've been finding great deals

At Goodwill. There's one by my house that has a huge toy section, and lately they've been getting in a lot of Lego sets. These sets are in absolutely destroyed boxes, but all parts are in the original bags, so they're store writeoffs or something. (...) (26 years ago, 10-Aug-00, to lugnet.market.shopping)

  Re: Does this look alien???

(...) I got it from the Vaktoth (spelling?) Heavy Fighter from Wing Commander 3. All i did was add a bridge module, and lengthn 1 side wing... Rick (26 years ago, 10-Aug-00, to lugnet.build)

  LDList

Does LDList require an ldraw.ini file or a LDRAWPATH? Scanning doesn't seem to do anything, and I don't have an ldraw.ini file because I don't have LDAO (since the latest version crahed my machine--or has this been fixed?) TIA, --Bram Bram Lambrecht (...) (26 years ago, 10-Aug-00, to lugnet.cad)

Re: Forced refresh of html pages instead of getting them from browser cache

(...) Right, but telling your viewers to do that every time isn't a very viable option. (26 years ago, 10-Aug-00, to lugnet.publish, lugnet.off-topic.geek)

  Re: 3DS MAX

Yeah I'd like to know where you got it for free also! I searched the Autodesk and Kinex site and there was nothing about the core product for free. There was a free upgrade from 3.0 to 3.1 I do have a copy of 3D Studio Max 1.0 that I got when I was (...) (26 years ago, 10-Aug-00, to lugnet.cad)

  Re: Autonomous Robot

(...) You can work it out easily enough - if you know the height of the tower and the angle of the laser to the ground. For (say) a 1 meter tall tower, the error (in meters) is 1 / tan ( A ) - 1 / tan ( A + 1 ) ...so if the beam is at 45 degrees to (...) (26 years ago, 10-Aug-00, to lugnet.robotics)

  Re: Autonomous Robot
