  Re: 2001 Set info

(...) Apple's quiet crackdown began more than two years ago. Heads rolled, because they leaked bogus information that was planted to detect the leak. Apple may have gotten "better publicity" for last month's crackdown on photos of "the cube", but it (...) (26 years ago, 8-Aug-00, to lugnet.lego.direct)

  Re: Autonomous Robot

(...) Yes - that's where I started thinking. It seemed to me that if the circle was large enough, odometry would put you inside the circle - then driving out of the circle in any direction would get you to cross all the bar codes. Presuming you use (...) (26 years ago, 8-Aug-00, to lugnet.robotics)

  Re: eBay Outrageous prices!

(...) What I interpreted as a "scam" is another person in on the deal driving up the price for some unsuspecting person to bid on. You're right on sitting back and watching, all I did was point it out for other people to see it. You have to admit (...) (26 years ago, 8-Aug-00, to lugnet.trains)

  Sir Alec Guiness

I just thought I'd pass on the news that Sir Alec Guiness died this weekend at the age of 86. (URL) (26 years ago, 8-Aug-00, to lugnet.starwars)

Re: Booth monitors and crowd control

(...) I think I had to use this once because the dog got motion sickness. ;-) (...) That's true. There was some operator "floating" going on. (...) But even so, it's hard to stand still inside the display. I would move to monitor another side if the (...) (26 years ago, 8-Aug-00, to lugnet.loc.us.ca.sf)

Re: Is a Giant Mona Lisa auction-worthy?

(...) Lego Book. I couldn't imagine parting with it. (Besides, I'm sure no one would pay what it cost me) You can see a picture of it at (URL) (26 years ago, 8-Aug-00, to lugnet.people)
