Re: Problem (was Re: Velux promotional set (1854) buying)

(...) Yep. I acquired a taste for Newkie a few years back when I was on a project with a chap from Newcastle. I know some in the UK don't consider it a proper beer but I'm a wus and find Guinness a bit too strong for my palate. I had a screensaver (...) (26 years ago, 7-Aug-00, to lugnet.loc.uk)

Re: Dining downunder (was Re: Pricing on Lego Sets)

(...) I scoped those and they both sound good to me. Thai is a favorite of mine (and of any programmer worth anything, according to the Jargon Dictionary) as is Italian. But I was hoping for something more Oz, Paul Hogan personally kills a croc for (...) (26 years ago, 7-Aug-00, to lugnet.loc.au, lugnet.org.au)

(...) Whew! the first time I read that I thought it said "How about we feed Larry **TO** some local fauna?" and I was getting worried. ++Lar (26 years ago, 7-Aug-00, to lugnet.loc.au, lugnet.org.au)

  An interesting diversion - speech!

I spent this weekend interfacing the Sensory Voice Direct 364 speech recognition device to the RCX as a sensor. Technically, it wasn't that hard. The device has 8 outputs which switch from a logic 0 to a logic 1 as each of 8 words are detected. Then (...) (26 years ago, 7-Aug-00, to lugnet.robotics)

Wanted Lego Dragon Castle Set #6082

I wondered if any one had #6082 that I could buy that was under $40.00 dollars. Thanks Roy Rutherford (26 years ago, 7-Aug-00, to lugnet.market.auction)

Re: RC control on Pneumatics, gearboxes and polarity switches

(...) I'm not entirely sure if Tobbe was referring to the "traditional" type of mobile crane setup here - I rather get the impression, although I may be wrong, that he is intent on making a "logging truck", with a crane similar to that you get for (...) (26 years ago, 7-Aug-00, to lugnet.technic)

  Re: tubing

(...) Cool. Where can I read about scaling? It sounds like I just need to take one of the ends and scale it to the length I need (in this case a span of 26 studs worth of bricks from one end of the brick to the other). ++Lar (26 years ago, 7-Aug-00, to lugnet.cad)

  Re: tubing  [DAT]

(...) If the ends are covered, you don't need to worry too much about the end points. So you can take on of the end points and scale it to your needs, as you say. You can start with this line: 1 16 -40 1 0 0 -20 0 1 0 0 0 0 1 76.DAT and change the (...) (26 years ago, 7-Aug-00, to lugnet.cad)

Re: Dining downunder (was Re: Pricing on Lego Sets)

Well, be sure not to step on or too close to any sharks, crocodiles (a.k.a. crocs), snakes, box jellyfish, rabid dogs, cane toads, funnelweb spiders, redback spiders, black widow spiders, and visiting or local politicians. ;-) That last species are (...)
