  Re: African American Minifigs

(...) alot (...) Three words: Rickey Van Dyke. He's made one - and it rocks :) If ya don't know Rickey, he's from GMLTC and is the one who designs all the really awesome vehicles they have. He works for TLC (at Mall of America) and yes, he's African (...) (26 years ago, 4-Aug-00, to lugnet.build.minifigs)

Mike's BULK Parts Clearance at Brickbay - now 60% off

Well, I still have a few lots at Brickbay that I need to clear out before I put up some new inventory. I've just dropped the remaining lots to 60% off my original prices, which if you consider were already on average 50% off normal selling prices, (...)   Brand New LEGO Promo Set 2584: Biker Bob

Hi fellow LEGO collectors, I've an additional brand new promotional set of #2584 (Biker Bob) on auction. This set, I believe, is not sold in retail. If anyone is interested in adding this set to his/her collection, please visit this auction: (URL) (...) (26 years ago, 4-Aug-00, to lugnet.market.auction)

  Re: Pricing on Lego Sets

(...) I agree completely with you both. The LEGO Company had a couple of rough years in the retail market. I notice the shelf space for LEGO products shrinking in major retailers. I see huge blow outs by major retailers of poorly selling themes, (...) (26 years ago, 4-Aug-00, to lugnet.general)

  Re: Bicycle Construction

(...) Leila, you have just pointed out a common, hugely frustrating problem within the world of LEGO. Some pieces in certain colors may never be easily obtainable in the quantities and colors needed to build models routinely shown by the LEGO (...) (26 years ago, 4-Aug-00, to lugnet.general)

Re: Lego reacts on pirated pictures in Theme Gallery

What is wrong with people today? Especially the children... As a child, I clearly remember being inspired by the models I saw others build. I might go on to copy it because I thought it was worth having, but I never passed it off as my own. I might (...) (26 years ago, 4-Aug-00, to lugnet.general)

Re: Lego reacts on pirated pictures in Theme Gallery

(...) You know, I've seen a lot of people jump to the conclusion that these misrepresented/"stolen" pictures are being posted by naughty little children. Guess what? If the person who posted them was willing to lie about whether or not the MOC was (...) (26 years ago, 4-Aug-00, to lugnet.general)

  RE: NMRA info, Handouts??

I looked at the conference web page and admission is $100 (+$34 membership). I wanted to come by and see the layouts one one day but that admission price is too steep for me. However if there is a $2 coupon...seriously is there some cheaper one day (...) (26 years ago, 4-Aug-00, to lugnet.loc.us.ca.sf)

  Re: Minifigu scale U-boat

(...) Hear, hear! I'm too excited to wait, now. ^_^ Do you save your Lego models when you've finished documenting them, or do you recycle them into new models? Cheers, - jsproat (26 years ago, 4-Aug-00, to lugnet.build)

  Hyperspace Dart

I recently completed construction on the "Hyperspace Dart." It is a slightly modified civilian freighter (more powerful engines than the stock version). The shape of the ship was inspired by the Bespin Bandit, a ship which appeared in one of the (...) (26 years ago, 4-Aug-00, to lugnet.space)

Re: First MOC posted, the OTV

(...) I love your prose! I absolutely love it! And "Minned" and "minkind" -- for Minifig, right? LOL! :-, I'm definitely looking forward to seeing more. I like this model too; it looks very much like what NASA has in mind for the same task. Do you (...) (26 years ago, 4-Aug-00, to lugnet.space)

  Re: Hyperspace Dart

(...) Bob, Wow, I'm really impressed. It's got that nice gray, functional, battered space freighter look to it. George (26 years ago, 4-Aug-00, to lugnet.space)

  Lego Island

Does anyone remember Lego Island? I still have it and wish that they make another sequel to it. It was made in early 1996 and had the '96 Town System Line-up. I wish they would make an updated version. Also it would be great if they had there own (...) (26 years ago, 4-Aug-00, to lugnet.lego)

  Re: Hyperspace Dart

(...) Incredibly cool! I imagine this is what would result if the Millenium Falcon and a Star Destroyer had children. I just love the shape! It's so simple but great looking that I'm now saying, "Why didn't I think of that?!" Keep up the good work. (...) (26 years ago, 4-Aug-00, to lugnet.space)
