Re: Directions are on the way...

I don't think we're going to make it to the BBQ. Karen's new store [1] just opened, and she's extremely busy and exhausted both at once, so we need the weekend for quiet relaxation. See you all at the next meeting, though! [1] Little plug -- Karen (...) (26 years ago, 3-Aug-00, to lugnet.org.us.nelug)

Re: Do blue 3x3 rocket nozzles exist

(...) What's a rocket nozzle? I didn't see that reference in the Lugnet Partsref.... Matt (26 years ago, 3-Aug-00, to lugnet.general)

  Re: Harry Potter Figures

(...) It shouldn't replace it. While Hogwart's is described as a "castle", and the students carry wands and are wizards, it's definitely set in a modern period. eric (26 years ago, 3-Aug-00, to lugnet.castle)

  Re: Lord of the Rings

I agree! _Lord of the Rings_ is such a huge and detailed world, just imagine all the possibilities for mini-figs and playsets! If they do make _Lord of the Rings_ LEGO they would, like you said, have HUGE, HUGE success! (...) (26 years ago, 3-Aug-00, to lugnet.dear-lego)

  Re: Autonomous Robot

(...) Great approach :) ! Using "hardware" to "calculate" the delta, instead of doing it by software, "wasting" a second rotation-sensor. Great :) (...) Yup, just like every multi sensor-enabled living beeing, using a mix of memorised (/learned) map (...) (26 years ago, 3-Aug-00, to lugnet.robotics)

  Re: New train MOCs

A "full length" High Cube Box Car is 86 feet long. That's what I was going for with mine, but it was too long to negotiate the curves, so I shortened it considerably. High Cubes came in many lengths from 40 feet to 60 feet to 86 feet. "John Neal" (...) (26 years ago, 3-Aug-00, to lugnet.trains)

  Re: New train MOCs

I was thinking of using the "spring" to center the coupler when it was not coupled. This way you could back up to the car and couple without having to manually align the coupler. When negotiating turns the spring would allow the coupler to swing, (...) (26 years ago, 3-Aug-00, to lugnet.trains)

  Enfield, CT Visit & Question

I will be in the Enfield, CT area next weekend and was wondering if there was anything to see at Lego Headquarters? I remeber a few years back someone posted directions to get there but I cannot find them. Anyone have any suggestions on how to get (...) (26 years ago, 3-Aug-00, to lugnet.general)

Re: thinking about a triangle LEGOfest...
