Re: set number 1181 - Space hovercraft...

(...) It was a regular catalog item last year, here in Turkey (and maybe in European countries, too). Selçuk (26 years ago, 7-Apr-00, to lugnet.space, lugnet.town, lugnet.admin.database)

Re: New newsgroup lugnet.sports for Football/Soccer

(...) Oh! OK, I'll fix that on the webpage. OK, added the word "most" and now it says this: ("Soccer" is the U.S. name for what is called "Football" most everywhere else in the world.) That's what I've heard for years and years, anyhow. What's it (...) (26 years ago, 3-Aug-00, to lugnet.sports)

  Re: Autonomous Robot

Hi Mario, Mauro, (...) I tried to get away with a single rotation sensor on a differential drive (put it on one of the output), assuming that I one motor is not moving I could deduce total movement. Unfortunately the turning motor drifts slightly on (...) (26 years ago, 3-Aug-00, to lugnet.robotics)

  Re: Question on two sets(5571-8448)

(...) 5571 Big Rig is in considerably small scale when compared to any of the super cars (all can be considered as same scale). Selçuk (26 years ago, 7-Apr-00, to lugnet.technic)

Re: New newsgroup lugnet.sports for Football/Soccer

(...) Even here (Aus) the official theme name is still Football although all the Aus. AFOLs here on Lugnet refer to the sets as "soccer" in normal conversation. Lego Australia calls it Football, and so does the annual catalog. Deidre drb@tasmail.com (26 years ago, 3-Aug-00, to lugnet.sports)

  R: Legofest VI, seconda puntata

Re: 108V Spark-Generating Contraption

(...) Be careful, AA batteries can generate enough current to kill. A safer way to even higher voltages is to use a transformer. Jürgen (26 years ago, 3-Aug-00, to lugnet.technic)

  Re: GPSP -- $22.45

(...) Ok, I'm impressed! Thanks Pete. So what's that Gungan Sub worth? Doesn't look to be as good a set for parts as the Sith Infiltrator but I've now got hubby interested in the SW sets! :) Deidre drb@tasmail.com (26 years ago, 3-Aug-00, to lugnet.loc.au, lugnet.org.au)

Re: New newsgroup lugnet.sports for Football/Soccer

(...) Aha!! Interesting! OK, hmm, so, OK, can we back up a bit? So, what you're saying (taking both of your posts into account) is that: 1. The official name of the LEGO product line in Australia is "LEGO Football" and not "LEGO Soccer," and 2. (...) (26 years ago, 3-Aug-00, to lugnet.sports, lugnet.loc.au)

Wow!.. Very, very nice. I really like these real life models having nice detail job. By the way, while browsing your web site I saw a very strange picture on page (URL) is the page about?..:-) I smell something quite funny but I don't know (...) (26 years ago, 7-Apr-00, to lugnet.build)

Re: DAT: Technic Liftarm 1 x 5 (wide)

This part looks good to me! Thanks for your work. Before you submit it, though, I'd like to ask you to reposition it so that it is centered in the origin. Compare it with the part 32017.DAT. Your part should have the same insertion point, in my (...) (26 years ago, 3-Aug-00, to lugnet.cad.dat.parts)

  Re: DAT: Technic Liftarm 3 x 5 L-shaped

Wow, I've never seen this part before. What set is it from? The 8448? Or the Dark Side Developer? Anyway, I agree with your choice of insertion point and orientation, since it is consistent with the other bent liftarms in LDraw. Fredrik (26 years ago, 3-Aug-00, to lugnet.cad.dat.parts)

  Instructions for trade?

I have just put together a list of instructions that I have for trade, ideally I would like to trade for other instructions etc, although am open to selling if thats the only option?   Re: Help wanted with old UK catalogue [long and contains most text/in fo from it.]

Ben, You just described the UK 1966 Catalogue. AFAIK it was available free from toy shops from approx April 66, but was not included in any sets (except _maybe_ 050 and 060); hence it is one of the more difficult to find.   Re: Question on two sets(5571-8448)

(...) Yeah the Super Cars are too big in relation to 5571. I've always wanted to make an auto carrier trailer for 5571 using pneumatics to lower/raise the upper level, but I doubt I'm good enough to do so. So whoever thinks they can build one, go (...) (26 years ago, 3-Aug-00, to lugnet.technic)

Re: Star Wars value pack @ Target

Well.. as I recall Jorge did say he works at Target in the toy area... I wouldn't expect if he works there that he'd make it up.... *8) I just wish "ye olde bugdet" had room to include picking this up.. hopefully it'll stay around a while... a lot (...)
