Well, it has been over 4 months since I announced the opening of brickfan. Since that time I have added over 40 sets to the catalog and I thought I should post an update here to let everybody know what I have. All sets are brand new, but see the (...) Thanks to everyone who offered to get or look for sets. The best solution of all came from Ralph H. who suggested I call Spectrum (in Aurora) 905-841-0600 After saving all my pennies I discovered that I had most of the $360 I needed to buy a RIS (...) I built a nice little model of FIFA's World Cup soccer trophy to enter Kansas City's MLS LEGO Soccer Builder Contest. Hmmm - but that was hand-cranked. Did you try applying a motor to it, and see if it could take on the same amount of torque? Rotational speed isn't the only factor to take into account, there is also the torsional component. To make a half-decent (...) (26 years ago, 27-Jul-00, to lugnet.technic)
