  My current wantlist

I just moved this and I haven't posted in a while. Here is my wantlist (URL) prices are lower than some because I want to BUY IN BULK! Large purchases means lower costs to the seller. I will be expanding and refining this but for now, this will do (...) (25 years ago, 17-May-00, to lugnet.market.buy-sell-trade)

Re: A new scan for 371 (doubting on fake or real)

(...) no (...) motor (...) I would have to side on the belief that this is a fake for a couple of reasons. After looking at 60's and early 70's instructions on brickshelf I would say that the poor quality of these instructions is a dead giveaway. I (...) (25 years ago, 17-May-00, to lugnet.general)

  Re: Expanded Universe

Well, no, they weren't called Expanded Universe, but they filled the same role that the EU vehicles fill now: Inexpensive little vehicles with one or two features.... so I referred to them as EU. Just a little faux pas on my part. ~M (...) so-called (...) (25 years ago, 17-May-00, to lugnet.starwars)

  Re: Expanded Universe

(...) Ah! I always thought it probably came from another line, because we all know toy companies love to do that (the Ewok Villiage Playset, for example, was re-marketed as the "Robin Hood: Prince of Theives Bandit's Hideout"). At any rate, it (...) (25 years ago, 17-May-00, to lugnet.starwars)

  Re: Expanded Universe

Funny thing is, that mold originally came from a Batman toy. I think Hasbro (Kenner) just thought it would make a good EU toy. Or did the SW version come first? I sure hope the Batman version came first. *shudder* Still, the little "shuttle pod" (...) (25 years ago, 17-May-00, to lugnet.starwars)

Re: Pirate Game - who wants to play

(...) Christopher Weeks (...) Not sure. If it's lots of fun I could go for an 12-18 hour stretch with meal breaks. I'm willing to commit to 6-8 hours for sure. (...) Nope. (...) Sure, as long as it's not bizzarrely complicated. Does this use a tape (...) (25 years ago, 17-May-00, to lugnet.gaming, lugnet.org.us.wamalug)

  Re: Expanded Universe

(...) Ah. I have to admit, I never picked any of them up (although I wanted to, because I liked the idea of toys based on design sketches). I was a little taken aback by the amount of things that popped up, popped out, or were "hidden" on them. If (...) (25 years ago, 17-May-00, to lugnet.starwars)

Frank Filz <ffilz@mindspring.com> wrote in message news:3922B3AB.1CFB@m...ing.com... (...) I just called S@H back to confirm that the wigs are included in 3409.   Re: Mark's Lego Creations BIG BIG UPDATE!

Hehe! I like the HOMER tag, Sproat. The Helldog was fun. The head was influenced by the Zaku from Gundam. I even put a couple technic gears inside with a li'l lever on his back so you could move the optical sensor around. ~M (...) (25 years ago, 17-May-00, to lugnet.space, lugnet.build.mecha)

Re: Mark's Lego Creations BIG BIG UPDATE!

Aw, jeez... thanks for the compliments. I don't know if I'll do that... perhaps. Maybe I'll buy a roll of film this week and try regular photos, though the only camera I own is a crappy point-and-shoot, so it may not take close-ups any better. I'll (...)   Expanded Universe

Perhaps I should rephrase: poorly implemented "expanded universe" series. They may not have designed the items the line is based off of, but they did design the toys. Poorly. -Bryan (...) (25 years ago, 17-May-00, to lugnet.starwars)

Re: A new scan for 371 (fake?)

(...) Doesn't look like a fake to me... but a MUCH better job of faking than I've ever seen if it IS a fake... There are too many little details that'd need to be faked to make this worthwhile... (...) Well, I have 332 (Tow Truck) which also had a (...) (25 years ago, 17-May-00, to lugnet.general)

Re: Question about Running 12v trains

(...) One possible explanation for this (since I have washed many bricks and noticed this sometimes, but not most of the time): Dirty bricks will have a layer of grit on them which could throw off the tolerances, and will increase wear, especially (...)   Premi e pedane

(25 years ago, 17-May-00, to lugnet.loc.it)

The Osprey and Angel kick butt also. Actually, the Osprey kicks butt, and I guess the Angel heals butts kicked thusly. :-, Great VTOL design. Cheers, - jsproat (25 years ago, 17-May-00, to lugnet.space, lugnet.build.mecha)
