  Re: 2000 Race theme

(...) Really? I'm not so sure, since the character TLC uses to advertise LEGO Racers isn't one of the minifigs...also, didn't the racing game have you racing against characters from other themes, like the Insectoid Queen and the Bat Lord?   New pbForth GUI

I'd like to announce the availability of an early trial version of a GUI for pbForth. It's written in TclTk, a free scripting language, but that's transparent to the user. (...) for (...) All this talk about £1 a mile has to be put in perspective - if you regularly carry passengers the alternatives are more expensive (tube, trains, buses, trams) in most domestic situations. I drive about 35,000 per year in a car and (...) (25 years ago, 16-May-00, to lugnet.loc.uk)

Which set has the most pieces?

AFAIK the 5571 giant turck has a lot of pieces but I am not sure if some of the recent sets (like the UCS sets) have more or not, does anyone know? (25 years ago, 16-May-00, to lugnet.general)

  Re: Millennium Falcon Opinion

(...) As others in this thread mentioned, your definition is actually a SPUD, which has many definitions but is often known as Single Purpose UnLEGOish Design. -Shiri P.S. <plug> (URL) (25 years ago, 16-May-00, to lugnet.starwars)

  Re: LEGO and the NMRA

(...) A similar example is found with Hornby O gauge (pre/post WW2). This stuff is very toy-like, made of flat printed tinplate with it's own style, runs on very coarse track but it provides HUGE entertainment for adult collectors and spectators at (...)   Re: SW mini-fig 3-pack OFFICIAL set numbers

It seems to me that they (marketing) made a mistake by switching the cards between Luke and the Emperor. The throneroom scene that is behind the Palpatine fig would work well for Luke because that's where the final showdown occured between him and (...) (25 years ago, 16-May-00, to lugnet.starwars)

  Re: 9V train collection completed

(...) OK everbody, we can make some serious money here by refusing to sell these last vital items to Ben; 1. We all demand a price about 2,500% higher than the market price. 2.   Re: Millennium Falcon Opinion

(...) I think a SPUD is more like the trees or the li'l flowers... I don't really think of a cockpit window as a "decorative" element, though it is certainly a single purpose element.   Re: LEGO Mechcommander

That was me. Not all of the .space folks know about lugnet.build.mecha, tho. I sure didn't until I happened to notice a cross-post one day. Mecha are sci-fi, so I think they should be under .space anyway... but I suppose they aren't LEGO SPACE (...) (25 years ago, 16-May-00, to lugnet.space)

Re: Millennium Falcon with grey train roof pieces?

Also not to nitpick, but the part that's available in the 5978 is the 6x6 dual-low-slope roofcap, not the 6x6 multi-sloped roof cap--there's a difference! Both are much sought after by us trainheads, though (well, at least those of us who haven't (...) (25 years ago, 16-May-00, to lugnet.trains)
