I'd like to announce the availability of an early trial version
of a GUI for pbForth. It's written in TclTk, a free scripting
language, but that's transparent to the user.

The GUI runs under Windows and Linux, and as soon as I can find
a serial driver that works for the Mac, it will be supported
too.!
Here's what you get:
- Fast and standard speed firmware upload
- Script upload with comment stripping
- XMODEM image download
- Console
You'll never need to fiddle with Hyperterminal or minicom again!
This is early release software. Please try it and email me if
you have any questions, suggestions, or tips. I prefer to use
the public forums on Lugnet for discussion.
The latest pbForth 1.2.0 image is included too! I'll post another
note soon with release notes and I'll be updating the tutorial and
website docs soon.

Does the gui depend on this version of pbforth? o - rcxtk.tcl should have executable permission in the tarball. This can be done with the -p flag to tar (...) (24 years ago, 16-May-00, to lugnet.robotics.rcx.pbforth)
