Re: Looking for sets for girls

(...) I go for trains and castle and town sets. I saw some of the other posts about what would be good for girls. I don't think it would make much of a collection to go hunting down 10 year old sets from the late 80's-early 90's that were promoted (...) (26 years ago, 8-Apr-00, to lugnet.general)

Practicality of X.com "auciton" CC payments for "straight sales"...?

Has anyone considered using X.com's increasingly popular auction payment by credit card service for straight sales of items from their websites? As an example: If I put up a website listing for sale certain items, and had a login or linking process (...) (26 years ago, 8-Apr-00, to lugnet.market.theory)

Re: Bloodstone Inn completed, teaser story up!

(...) The inn looks realy cool. I like the way you used the angled doors. I may have to try that some time. You've made great use of a tight space and have added some nice little details. An inn is just ripe with story posibilities and it looks like (...) (26 years ago, 8-Apr-00, to lugnet.castle)

Re: new adventurers set soon? and other themes!

(...) I too have tons of blue parts which I almost never use. (Especially space parts) Since I have more gray pieces now, thanks to Star Wars and such, I may have to build some models in the Classic Space color scheme... However, I don't have a ton (...)   Spanning large areas

Most stock LEGO sets use large, thin plates to create roofs and second-story floors. In some cases (like Fort Legorado, 6769), they have created super-large plates (black in this case) to do the job. What happens when you need to span a LARGER area (...) (26 years ago, 8-Apr-00, to lugnet.build.arch)

Re: Bloodstone Inn completed, teaser story up!

(...) Thanks! (...) Thanks. I want to be an architect, so while my aunt and uncle were renovating, I paid close attention to the architect's ideas... I liked the way she had used an angled door on my cousin's room, that way it added space to both (...) (26 years ago, 8-Apr-00, to lugnet.castle)

  Time measuring problems

Hi all, I hope someone out there can help me with this, I'm going nutz (actually i think i'm already there). I am trying to measure a short period of time. Ultimately this will measure ultrasonic ping/echo using Kam Leang's ultrasonic circuit. Right (...) (26 years ago, 8-Apr-00, to lugnet.robotics.handyboard)

NQC Ignores based on your pbrink

Dave Can you setup NQC to automatically ignore things a pbrink doesn't understand? For example The scout. I have a program that I use in my 2 RCX's and my 1 scout. But Constantly have to /* */ the offending code for the scout. Is there some way we (...) (26 years ago, 8-Apr-00, to lugnet.robotics.rcx.nqc)

  Re: Spanning large areas

Hey Brad, You've got some great ideas there! Some of them occured to me (and probably to other people) before, for example I'm sure many people use the "bound plates" method. In fact, I usually use this method. But while building my inn I discovered (...) (26 years ago, 8-Apr-00, to lugnet.build.arch)
