Re: New 9V Digital Trains for Germany this Autumn

(...) Yes, I did some guessing already, and I didn't like what I got. All guesses in USD 4438/39 (the switches) 40-50 each 4479 (freight wagons) 80 4465 (short track) depends on the number in the box, if it's 1 1/2 and 2 1/4 I gues 5 bucks 4460 (red (...)   Biggest LEGO Maniacs (was: First draft of the Lego-Modular Train layout standards posted..)

(...) I doubt we even know the 10 customers (not buy-and-resellers, but people who actually buy and stockpile LEGO). Why? Simple: they're too busy with lego to bother with that waste-of-time known as the internet. Conan fits into this category, (...) (26 years ago, 31-Mar-00, to lugnet.general)

Re: New 9V Digital Trains for Germany this Autumn

(...) You're right -- I noticed the background in the main picture is all made out of LEGO. TLC never does that anymore. Highly suspicious. Steve (26 years ago, 31-Mar-00, to lugnet.trains)

  Anyone want a 6991

I have been offered a s/h 6991 as a result of my local paper ad. Anyone interested? No idea what condition or price yet, so LMK what you'd accept. Could be worth it just for the track... Huw (26 years ago, 31-Mar-00, to lugnet.loc.uk)

Re: April 1st sometime in the world ... ? (Re: New Trains)

(...) What is with the rude comments of late? Someone can't just throw in a little meaningless statement here and there? You do it often enough. I do it, too, and so do most people. (...) Yes, but isn't that a real train company? Wouldn't it have to (...) (26 years ago, 31-Mar-00, to lugnet.trains)

  Re: Anyone want a 6991

(...) Yes, if working. Hard to find the parts if it is not. Dont care about box or instructions though. Nor about the space bits as I would turn it into something to use in town. So as long as the track and engine, chassis and anything that makes it (...) (26 years ago, 31-Mar-00, to lugnet.loc.uk)

Re: New 9V Digital Trains for Germany this Autumn

I'm afraid that I must go with the hoax theory. Here's why: 1) This appears to be Paul Rutenberg's first ever Lugnet post, and he has a hotmail address to boot. 2) His homepage (once translated with babelfish) is decidedly non-Lego. There are some (...) (26 years ago, 31-Mar-00, to lugnet.trains) !

Review of 3401 Shoot 'N Score

I picked up a copy of 3401 Shoot 'N Score ((URL) this morning at the Zany-Brainy in Raleigh (NC). It is the first Soccer set I have seen from the new range. I have a couple copies of the World Cup promo set which overall I like much better but I (...) (26 years ago, 31-Mar-00, to lugnet.reviews)

Nice thread, and great timing. I'll be working this weekend on the command center for my mountain base. I'll definitely be using the headrest in seat #3, but with armrests more like seat #1.
