Re: ZB Sale: 6195 Neptune Discovery Lab $45

(...) These can almost be like the infamous K-Mart blue light specials. I was at the Raleigh ZB last summer when they announced that all clearance items were an additional 50% off for the next 30 minutes. Mike --- Mike Walsh (...) (25 years ago, 24-Feb-00, to lugnet.market.shopping)

Re: Is it possible to have too much LEGO?

Interesting subthread. I guess I'm from the "build it per directions" school. I tend to build stuff to learn what there is to learn, then I go off and build my own stuff from scratch. Only very rarely do I modify TLC sets into something improved... (...) (25 years ago, 24-Feb-00, to lugnet.general)

Re: Likeness of a Talgo: Shared monoaxle

(...) I have indeed seen Erik's tilting metroliner. Very nice! I credit him for showcasing the use of the Technic spring-bricks to me in his crocodile locomotive. Master creations from Mr. Brok. I love his work. later, James Mathis (25 years ago, 24-Feb-00, to lugnet.trains)

  Re: What is Znap?

Re: megabloks answer our requests (Re: Brad Justus...)

(...) With all of the positive comments that I'm reading about Megabloks, I'll have to take a second look at them. I sincerely hope that Lego is reading this thread.   Re: Proportion of bad bidders on eBay?

Transatlantic shipping may be part of the issue. I had one bidder whinge about fixed shipping charges being too high, and some other misc whinges from other bidders lead me to believe that there is a non zero fraction of bidders that don't read the (...)   Re: FA (Ebay) Old Space Sets

(...) No, it's not disapproval, it's a mixture of confusion, dismay, and surprise. Why doesn't eBay make it _easy_ for people to find or follow auctions of a particular type? The fact that people [have to] resort to re-listing things elsewhere is (...) (25 years ago, 24-Feb-00, to lugnet.market.auction)
