Such a dark and drizzly place this has become.....

Where have all the townies gone? long time passing....... A once lively little newsgroup has turned into a rather barren ghost town (no pun intended). All because of one word.....junior....It seems the only posts here ae about how bad Town Junior (...) (25 years ago, 24-Feb-00, to lugnet.town)

I couldn't find a definitive prior discussion to followup-to, so I'm posting this fresh. So far, the general standard set of fields for an inventory has been: Part Name Part Number (where available) Color Quantity I'd like to suggest another field (...) (25 years ago, 24-Feb-00, to lugnet.db.inv)

Proportion of bad bidders on eBay?

(...) I don't agree. Out of 234 completed auctions this year I have one possible deadbeat. Out of >500 this year and last I had <10 deadbeats total. I think that's pretty good. Are your figures very different from that, Scott? Kevin (25 years ago, 24-Feb-00, to lugnet.market.theory)

Re: Popula, the quirkiest auction site?

(...) This is really a chicken-and-egg situation: in a venue where there are not enough bidders to run the price up, sellers set the price to what they hope to get and usually the item sells at or near that price. This is one reason I don't use (...) (25 years ago, 24-Feb-00, to lugnet.market.theory)
