Re: Is it OK to use new parts for old sets?

(...) Well put. I agree that you would expect (but not necesseraly require) parts from the same era. This brings up an interesting question. I got an 8860 real cheap from ebay, with many common parts missing. I rebuilt it with the parts provided (...) (25 years ago, 22-Feb-00, to lugnet.market.theory)

I have a Sony FD-91. Zoom is radical and macro is kick butt. This camera runs about 1000 dollars. But i know where you can get one online for around 800-850. www.pricewatch.com and search for FD91 at the top. If you would like you can E-mail me and (...)   Re: 1200 brick Blue Tubs on sale at TRU

Anyone: Do the basic green bricks sell in auctions for approximately the same price as white bricks? Does a 1:1 swap seem equitable? I thought the green went for more. Any help appreciated. Rick K (...) (25 years ago, 22-Feb-00, to lugnet.market.shopping)

Re: Is it OK to use new parts for old sets?

(...) Right, unless it's shrinkwrapped. But the question is, should it have pieces that are from the same era? That is, pieces that COULD have been, but for the luck of the draw, in the box originally? The most purist among us will admit it's (...) Does the K raincheck BOGOs? I think it's limited to stock on hand. Lucky me, I got a friendly and helpful TRU manager who gave me a raincheck for 36 more tubs. (25 years ago, 22-Feb-00, to lugnet.market.shopping)

(...) Note that when K-Mart does another BOGO 50% sale, the blue tubs (provided you could find some at a K-Mart) sould average out to the same $14.99 price. Ray (25 years ago, 22-Feb-00, to lugnet.market.shopping)

  Re: Ducks International Box.

Sounds interesting... The problem I see is that everyone in the US has the same access to the same promo stuff, what I would want to put in would be McD sets too!
